OM Digital Solutions, which continues the photo business of “Olympus“, presents the OM System new camera – OM System OM-1 mirrorless camera and two new lenses: Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f2.8 Pro II and Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0 Pro.
OM System OM-1
The OM System new camera comes with the resolution of 20 Mpx of its image sensor in FourThirds format (17.3 mm x 13 mm), which has been familiar for years with Micro FourThirds cameras, it is now a stacked CMOS sensor rear exposure for better light output, which is why the light sensitivity is higher than with previous OM-D models.
The OM System OM-1 combines the latest components and innovative digital technologies for the best image quality among the Micro Four Thirds cameras. The autofocus and continuous shooting functions stand out clearly from those of conventional models with up to 50 frames/sec. including AF/AE tracking or 120 frames/sec. at full resolution. Digital image processing algorithms in the camera software are the basis for the easy use of functions such as Live Composite and High Res Shot, without special equipment or special expertise.
This OM System new camera impresses with the high-quality, compact, and lightweight design typical of the OM system as well as the new 20 megapixels stacked BSI Live MOS sensor. There is also the new “TruePic X” image processor, which is three times faster than its predecessors. The OM System OM-1 offers a high image quality that goes beyond what can be expected purely based on the sensor size. The camera not only benefits from the excellent performance of the M.Zuiko Digital lenses, which enable a higher resolution than ever, but also from new noise reduction processes. The maximum sensitivity increases to ISO 25600 or ISO 102400 in extended mode.
Powerful OM System technology offers best-in-class image stabilization with up to 8.0 stops3 of 5-axis sync image stabilization compensation; On the camera side alone, the image stabilization compensates up to 7 levels.
The light and robust magnesium alloy camera body has been equipped with seals in the crucial places that meet the IP53 standard in terms of dust and splash water protection. The OM-1 is also freeze-proof down to -10 °C.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f2.8 Pro II
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f2.8 Pro II is a compact and lightweight professional-class standard zoom lens with a continuous aperture of f2.8 and optimized high image quality. Concerning the 35 mm format, the focal length ranges from 24 mm wide-angle to medium 80 mm telephoto. It is a versatile lens for a wide range of applications, including macro photography, and delivers reliable performance in all weather conditions.
The lens construction consists of 14 elements in 9 groups (1 EDA lens, 2 aspherical lenses, 1 DSA lens, 2 ED lenses, 1 HD lens, 2 HR lenses) with 4 effectively positioned aspherical lenses including a DSA lens.
It offers a minimum focus distance of 20 cm over the entire focal length range. With the wide-angle setting, macro shots benefit from a better perspective impression. Image magnification of up to 0.6x is available for telephoto shots, enabling authentic close-ups as with macro lenses. The lens is suitable for different macro shooting styles and supports the Focus Stacking function.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0 Pro
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0 Pro is currently the world’s most compact, lightest telephoto zoom, which is intended to convince users of cameras with a “Micro Four Thirds mount” with its high image quality and reliable performance in all weather conditions. A minimum focus distance of just 70cm at all focal lengths from 40 to 150mm (which corresponds to a 35mm focal length of 80 to 300mm) and macro shooting options with up to 0.41x image magnification make the lens versatile.
The new 40-150mm f4.0 comes with 15 elements in 9 groups (2 ED lenses, 1 super ED lens, 1 HR lens, and 2 aspherical lenses). There is an effective arrangement of special elements that enable the comprehensive suppression of chromatic aberrations to which telephoto lenses are otherwise susceptible.
The lens also has a ZERO coating (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) that significantly reduces ghosting and lens flare to achieve higher imaging performance even in difficult conditions such as backlighting. When used in High Res Shot mode, this powerful lens offers the same uncompromisingly high image quality as the camera.
This zoom offers a minimum focus distance of 70cm across the entire focal length range, just like the 2.8/40-150mm Pro. At telephoto, up to 0.41x image magnification is available for close-up shots.
