Asus brings a series of new Vivobook laptops with new performance. In particular, Vivobook S 14 2025 stands out with its elegant design, OLED screen, and powerful new Intel Lunar Lake processors. A home laptop computer model equipped with the latest generation Intel Core Ultra 5 226V chip and Intel Arc 130V iGPU is not only beautiful and light but also powerful. Let’s take a look at what’s new with the Asus Vivobook S14 2025 review.

Asus Vivobook S14 2025 Review
Slimmer, lighter, and refined
The Vivobook S 14 2025 boasts a slim, lightweight design, a feature inherited from its predecessor, the Vivobook S model. Asus uses an all-metal case and adds a slim “Vivobook” logo on the back, giving the device an elegant look from every angle. The sturdy hinge opens smoothly with one hand and allows the screen to tilt up to 180 degrees.

The back of the device features a large heat dissipation cluster, which helps maintain a cool temperature during use. The Vivobook S 14 2025 features a thin and light design, measuring only about 1.39 cm in thickness, which is thinner than the previous generation. It weighs approximately 1.30 kg, compared to 1.40 kg in the previous model, making it feel light and easy to hold while not taking up too much space when carried.

Asus designed the Vivobook’s backlit TKL keyboard (TenKeyLess — without a numeric keypad) with multi-mode RGB LED lighting, clear key travel, and responsive feedback, allowing users to adapt quickly without needing extra practice. The large trackpad, smooth glass surface, multi-touch support, and fast response provide a precise mouse feel that rivals that of high-end laptop models.

Sharp 14-inch Display with OLED
A 14-inch laptop screen features a high-quality OLED panel with a 3K resolution (2880 x 1800) for extremely sharp and impressively realistic images. With the OLED panel, the laptop also achieves high color accuracy, boasting 100% DCI-P3 coverage with extremely low color deviation, making it suitable for work related to graphics that require high color accuracy, such as photo editing, video editing, or home entertainment.

Additionally, this screen features a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz, along with a brightness of 600 nits (when HDR is enabled). With a high refresh rate, the device provides a highly satisfying gaming experience. The images are reproduced extremely realistically, and there is rarely any tearing or image response delay when playing games.
Ports and Webcam
Asus places all the connection ports on the right side of the Vivobook S14 2025, including two USB-A ports that support the 3.2 Gen 1 standard for data transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. The left side of the laptop will feature an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card reader, and two USB-C ports that support the Thunderbolt 4 standard, enabling display output, fast charging power delivery, and data transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.

Additionally, the notebook includes a Full HD-quality webcam, allowing users to join video calls or attend meetings without needing an external webcam. This webcam cluster also features a camera cover lever and supports Windows Hello security, enhancing security and privacy for users without compromising image visibility to the outside.
Asus Vivobook S14 2025 review test
Our Asus Vivobook S14 2025 review unit features an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor (8 cores, 8 threads), which has a 1-core, 1-thread architecture rather than the previous 2-core, 2-thread configuration. The laptop combines a completely new Intel Arc 130V integrated card with 16GB of onboard DDR5X RAM (non-upgradable) and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD. This setup offers enough storage for immediate use without requiring any upgrades.

Benchmark tests
CPU Performance (Cinebench R23, Cinebench R24, Geekbench 6):
With the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor, the Vivobook S 14 2025 delivers impressive results. Specifically, in Cinebench R23, the laptop achieved single-core and multi-core scores of 1,695 points and 9,090 points, respectively. Similar to Geekbench 6, the notebook achieved approximately 2,566 single-core points and 9,846 multi-core points, enabling the device to boot up quickly and respond smoothly to every task.

GPU Performance (3DMark, PCMark 10, Geekbench 6, PugetBench):
Although Vivobook S14 2025 is only equipped with integrated Intel Arc 130V graphics, it does not mean that this iGPU is weak. Specifically, in the 3DMark (Time Spy) test, the laptop scored 3,774 points, showing the ability to play popular games smoothly today. In addition, the score of 1,753 on 3DMark (Time Spy Extreme) also clearly reflects the powerful GPU processing performance, which is sufficient to handle AAA games well at high settings while maintaining stable frame rates.

Additionally, the PugetBench score of 4,947 with Adobe Photoshop and 3,244 with Adobe Premiere Pro shows that the machine can handle light to heavy graphics tasks smoothly.

SSD performance (CrystalDIskMark, 3DMark):
The Asus Vivobook S14 2025 is equipped with a PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD for breakneck data retrieval speeds. Through the CrystalDiskMark software test, the laptop’s SSD achieved sequential read speeds of up to 6,698 MB/s and sequential write speeds of about 3,649 MB/s.

With this speed, the notebook can boot the operating system, open applications, copy data, and process heavy files smoothly and instantly. This is one of the essential factors that makes the daily usage experience much faster and more seamless.
Gaming Experience
Before entering the gaming experience, please note that I have set up MSI Afterburner software to monitor FPS, but I have not changed the names of my CPU and GPU. Our Asus Vivobook S14 2025 review unit’s actual configuration is still Intel Core Ultra 5 226V with Intel Arc 130 iGPU, so I hope you can disregard this name.
Valorant

Starting with the most popular FPS game, Valorant. With similar settings, the Vivobook S 14 2025 remains solid, easily reaching an average of 148 FPS. Every phase of pushing the site, throwing smoke balls, or performing skills… the laptop can render well and respond quickly to help you have the best experience in every tense gunfight.
Counter-Strike 2

In Counter-Strike 2, at the highest setting with Full HD resolution, the Vivobook S14 maintains an average of approximately 32 FPS, which is sufficient for entertaining gameplay but occasionally results in slight lag during intense firefights. When lowering the configuration to Low, the frame rate jumps to about 113 FPS, helping to make the shooting experience smooth, with quick responses for all the stressful peek, spray control, and clutch phases.
PUBG

Moving on to PUBG, with the Low setting at Full HD resolution, the laptop maintained a stable 45 FPS throughout the match. Parachuting, looting, and long-range combat were handled smoothly; if you need more frames, you can try lowering some of the shadows or foliage options to get above 60 FPS.
Black Myth: Wukong

Finally, the AAA title, Black Myth: Wukong. This high-action title requires a high-end GPU, but at Low Full HD settings, the Vivobook S 14 2025 still achieved an average of around 32 FPS. Although not “console smooth,” thanks to the 120 Hz OLED screen and fast response time, dodges, parries, and combos are still accurate enough. Reducing the resolution further to 1600 × 900 will help the laptop approach the 40 FPS threshold, resulting in a more stable experience.
Battery Life
The Asus Vivobook S 14 2025 is equipped with a large-capacity 75Wh battery, providing an impressive real-life usage time of up to 740 minutes (approximately 12 hours and 20 minutes) on a single charge. Thanks to the optimized performance of the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and the energy-saving OLED screen, the laptop can easily meet a full day of work or study without having to worry about charging the battery in the middle.

Not only that, the laptop also supports fast charging via the USB-C port, which complies with the Power Delivery standard of up to 100W, allowing you to charge the battery faster and more conveniently than ever. Thanks to the ability to charge via Type-C, users can utilize the same charger with phones, tablets, or other PD charging-supported devices, minimizing the bulkiness of carrying the charger and increasing flexibility during travel.
Final Line
After this Asus Vivobook S14 2025 review, it is evident that there has been a significant breakthrough compared to the previous generation, mainly thanks to the new, high-performance Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor and Intel Arc 130V iGPU. Combined with a thin and lightweight design, a brilliant OLED screen, and good battery life, this machine is truly a worthy choice in the thin and light laptop segment, offering strong performance in 2025.
