Better late than never—that’s how we can describe the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G, which arrived in the US four months after its release in other regions. The Android cell phone AI is now available for purchase from Amazon with $100 launch offer.
Samsung confirmed last month that it would finally release the Galaxy A56 5G Android smartphone in the United States. This information has proven to be accurate as the smartphone is now available for purchase directly from Samsung and partner stores.
Samsung has made a significant move by launching the Galaxy A56 5G in the US, especially since it skipped releasing the Galaxy A55 5G there last year. The case would remain unchanged with the Galaxy A56, given that the phone has been available in other regions since March.
Samsung Galaxy A56 5G Price in USA
The SIM-free smartphone is available for purchase on Amazon for $499.99 with 128GB storage or $549.99 with 256GB storage. It includes a $50 Promotional Credit on Graphite and Light Gray, and a $100 Promotional Credit on the Olive color variant. The handset comes with a 1-year US manufacturer’s warranty, and both storage options feature 8GB of RAM.
Samsung’s new premium mid-range smartphone for 2025 will face stiff competition in its price range, with options like the Pixel 9a, which also starts at $488 for the base model with 128GB of storage and increases to $599 for the 256GB version. There’s also the OnePlus 13R, which is currently discounted to $559.24 on Amazon (originally $599.99) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB version.
Still, there’s a lot to like about the Galaxy A56 5G’s AI features. It boasts a premium build thanks to Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides, an aluminum frame, and an IP67 dust and water resistance rating. In our performance review, we praised the long battery life, camera performance, and other features, which are significantly better than those of its predecessor.
Samsung also promised that the Galaxy A56 5G will get 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates, which is only the case with the Pixel 9a (in its class), which will get 7 years of OS and security updates.
