Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Performance Review
This version of the Exynos 2400, used in the Galaxy S24 and S24+, is slightly downclocked. The chip delivers solid performance, including Ray Tracing capabilities comparable to the Apple A18 chip in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. However, it struggles with temperature optimization. To address this, Samsung adjusted the clock speed for better thermal management without altering the chip’s structure or graphics core.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is powered by the new Exynos 2400e processor, built on a 4nm process. This chip features several high-performance cores: one Cortex-X4 core at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9 GHz, and three more Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6 GHz. It also includes four Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 1.95 GHz, ensuring a balance between performance and energy efficiency. While the Cortex-X4 and Cortex-A720 cores run at slightly lower speeds, they still provide excellent performance.
The Galaxy S24 FE’s cooling system features a significant upgrade, with a vapor chamber that is 1.1 times larger than in previous versions. This enhancement helps the device maintain cooler temperatures and stable performance, even during extended heavy workloads. In performance tests using benchmark software, the Galaxy S24 FE delivered impressive results, comparable to devices equipped with the Exynos 2400, such as the S24 and S24+.

How powerful is the Galaxy S24 FE? To provide an accurate assessment, I tested the device using specialized tools like AnTuTu Benchmark, Geekbench 6, and 3DMark. However, these scores should be considered as reference points only.

AnTuTu Benchmark v10 and Geekbench 6
- AnTuTu Benchmark v10: The Galaxy S24 FE achieved a score of 1,395,394, an impressive result. This score reflects its ability to handle both everyday tasks and more demanding activities smoothly. However, while respectable for its segment, it falls short of reaching flagship-level performance.
- Geekbench 6: The Galaxy S24 FE achieved 1,883 points in single-core performance and 6,062 in multi-core. These results are similar to those of the Exynos 2400 chip used in the previous S24 series.
3DMark test
Solar Bay
In the Solar Bay graphics test, the Galaxy S24 FE scored 7,884 points with an average FPS of 29.98, delivering smooth performance for demanding games and graphic tasks. Notably, the device used just 1% of the battery (from 64% to 63%) during the test, with the temperature rising from 31°C to 37°C—somewhat high for a light graphics workload.

Wild Life Extreme
Continuing the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE performance review, I tested the device with the Wild Life Extreme test of the 3DMark application. The device scored 3,615 points, an impressive result. The average frame rate (FPS) hovered around 21.65. However, the standout feature was its excellent battery optimization, with only a 1% drop during the test.

However, the device’s temperature increased quite quickly, from 35°C to 39°C, an increase of 4°C in a short time. Although the FPS fluctuated from 14 to 28, this difference did not significantly affect the user experience. However, the Exynos 2400e still runs quite hot, similar to its predecessor, despite a slight reduction in clock speed. Although the Wild Life Extreme test is not overly demanding, the device exhibits a rapid temperature rise.
Solar Bay Stress Test
Finally, I conducted the most demanding evaluation: the 3DMark Solar Bay Stress Test. This test assesses a device’s stability by running it through 20 consecutive cycles, simulating intensive tasks such as video editing or high-end gaming. The key metric to focus on is “stability”, which indicates how well the device maintains consistent performance throughout the test.
The Galaxy S24 FE achieved 58.1% stability, a solid result for its segment. The difference between the highest score (Best loop score) and the lowest score (Lowest loop score) was 3,171 points, showing that the device maintained stable performance through the loops. However, the temperature problem continued to appear when the device heated up significantly, from 34°C to 46°C – an increase of 12°C during the test.

Despite good performance, the problem of ineffective heat dissipation occurred again. In my opinion, there is no improvement compared to previous S24 series lines.
The Galaxy S24 FE performed well in the Wild Life Extreme and Solar Bay stress tests, with clear indicators for battery performance, temperature, FPS, and stability. However, despite the high scores, the issue of overheating remains unresolved. Although the battery is well optimized, the device is prone to overheating, especially during long-term heavy tasks, which can make users feel uncomfortable after a period of use.
Real Gaming Experience
To assess the device’s gaming performance, I tested it with four popular titles: Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, Genshin Impact, and Wuthering Waves. These games demand high graphics processing and consistent performance to deliver an optimal gaming experience.
Honor Of Kings
Let’s start with a relatively lightweight game, Honor of Kings, which has attracted significant interest among gamers. I set the graphics to the highest level to see if the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE can run smoothly.
Overall, this is a fairly light game, and with the powerful configuration of the Galaxy S24 FE, the device does not encounter any difficulties in handling the graphic effects. All operations in the game, from skill feedback and movement to spam moves, are smooth and extremely fast. The animations in the game are also very eye-catching, creating a comfortable feeling when playing.


The frame rate (FPS) stayed consistently high, averaging around 110 FPS during gameplay. Although it occasionally dipped to 104 FPS, the overall experience remained smooth.
However, the device’s temperature during gaming is worth noting. In tests, it averaged around 45°C—slightly high but not uncomfortable to hold for extended periods. For heavy gamers, using a cooling fan can help maintain optimal performance and prevent overheating.
Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is a demanding game that requires significant graphics and processing power. To test the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s performance, I set the graphics to “Balanced” and capped the frame rate at 30 FPS.

The Galaxy S24 FE delivers stunning and vibrant graphics. Details like trees, water ripples, and sunlight reflections are rendered with impressive realism. Animations, including character movements and environmental interactions, run smoothly, enhancing the immersive, visually captivating experience.
The Galaxy S24 FE handled game animations smoothly, with fluid character movements and quick skill execution, showing minimal lag. Although the frame rate was capped at 30 FPS, performance remained stable throughout gameplay. Occasional drops to 28 FPS lasted only 2-3 seconds before quickly recovering. This demonstrates that the Galaxy S24 FE can run Genshin Impact effectively on basic graphics settings, delivering a smooth and stable experience.


After about 10 minutes of gameplay, the device began heating up quickly, reaching over 49°C. As it overheated, occasional frame drops occurred, though they were infrequent and didn’t significantly impact the overall experience. For better performance and temperature control, lowering the graphics to medium is recommended.
PUBG Mobile
PUBG Mobile demands high performance and stability. To assess the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s capabilities, I set the graphics to maximum—Ultra HDR with an extremely high frame rate. This setting will help me test whether the device can provide a smooth, uninterrupted experience during gameplay.



With Ultra HDR graphics configuration, Galaxy S24 FE allows me to experience PUBG Mobile with a frame rate of about 40.3 FPS. I am highly impressed with the device’s processing capabilities. Throughout the game—whether landing on the map, looting items, or engaging in combat—everything runs smoothly. Actions like moving, aiming, and driving respond swiftly, providing a realistic and comfortable gaming experience.
The main advantage is the stable FPS, consistently hovering around 38-40 without lag or sudden drops. This stability is crucial in survival games like PUBG, where even a minor lag can cost you the upper hand in critical moments. Additionally, the game’s visuals are rendered sharply, with both environments and characters appearing realistic and detailed.
Wuthering Waves
The Galaxy S24 FE faced its toughest challenge with Wuthering Waves, a demanding game known for its intricate graphics and complex character models, offering even more detail than Genshin Impact. The game pushed the device to its limits, causing performance struggles.

With the graphics settings set to High and the frame rate capped at 30 FPS, the Galaxy S24 FE initially performed well for the first few minutes of play. The visuals and animations were impressive, with characters and environments rendered in realistic detail. However, after about 3-4 minutes of gameplay, problems began to appear.
Frame drops occur frequently throughout the game. While the device initially maintains stable FPS, performance degrades over time, with frequent drops, sometimes reaching as low as 23.8 FPS. This significantly impacts the gaming experience, making controls feel unresponsive and causing stuttering during fast-paced action scenes. Wuthering Waves clearly demands high-performance hardware, so, unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S24 FE struggles to keep up.
In addition to FPS drops, the device’s temperature is a significant concern. During gameplay, it reached nearly 51°C, making it uncomfortable to hold. This indicates that the Galaxy S24 FE’s cooling system struggles to manage intensive tasks like Wuthering Waves effectively.


The Galaxy S24 FE delivers a good gaming experience in mid-range titles like PUBG Mobile and Honor of Kings, with stable frames and smooth images. In-game actions like moving, aiming, or using skills respond quickly, with little lag. This indicates that the Exynos 2400e chip performs well with moderate graphics demands.
However, when trying heavy games like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, the device started to experience frequent FPS drops and high temperatures, sometimes reaching 49-51°C. The rapid increase in temperature directly affected performance, making the gaming experience not as smooth as expected, especially in fast-paced action scenes or moving through complex areas.
The Galaxy S24 FE’s Exynos 2400e chip performs well with mid-range games. However, when running more demanding titles, the device struggles with heat dissipation and needs better stability to maintain consistent performance. For gamers who do not require maximum graphics, the S24 FE is still a choice worth considering.
