Dreame H14 Pro Review: Best Wet Dry Vacuum for Your Home?

Wet and vacuum cleaners have been the best inventions for many years for pet owners and families with children! Their ability to professionally clean hardwood floors and vacuum smooth floors quickly and efficiently is fantastic! Several manufacturers now offer corresponding products, but two stand out in particular. These are Tineco and Dreame, which try to outdo each other with innovations year after year. Let’s take a look at the Dreame H14 Pro review below.

Dreame H14 Pro Review: Best Wet Dry Vacuum for Your Home?

At the beginning of 2025, Dreame has a slight edge. The H14 Pro wet and dry vacuum cleaner has a 180-degree design, which allows cleaning under the couch. We also have an extremely high suction power of 18,000 Pa, extremely fast hot air drying, the GlideWheel™ drive system, and many other interesting features.

For further examples, the system intelligently doses cleaning agents, filling them into a separate tank.

Design and Build Quality

The Dreame H14 Pro is based on the well-known principle and structure of a wet and dry vacuum cleaner. However, they slightly modified it to enable the 180-degree “tilting design.”

This design allows users to lay the H14 Pro completely flat to clean under furniture like the couch. Dreame redesigned both the structure and the layout to achieve this, focusing mainly on the water tanks.

The H14 Pro continues to use the familiar cordless stick vacuum cleaner design. In this case, all water tanks, electronics, etc., are housed in the vacuum cleaner’s handle. Thanks to the large and stable floor brush, the vacuum cleaner is not too heavy either.

The H14 Pro has a separate fresh water and dirty water tank. The freshwater tank is in the front, while the dirty water tank is in the back.

The latter is quite complex in design to prevent water from getting into the engine. However, the tank is easy to empty and has an internal separation for liquid and solid dirt.

Fortunately, both tanks are pretty large. The fresh water tank holds 880 ml, and the dirty water tank holds 650 ml. And yes, the larger tanks are an advantage for wet dry vacuum cleaners because they usually run out of power or fill up much sooner than the battery runs out.

The H14 Pro should last up to 40 minutes, but this is in “ECO” mode. In practice, expect it to last around 20 minutes, depending on how dirty it is and the power setting.

The general build quality and the haptic impression of the H14 Pro match the higher price.

Dedicated Tank for Cleaning Solution

The H14 Pro has a small tank for cleaning agents. A suitable cleaning agent is also included in the delivery.

In standard mode, the H14 Pro detects the level of dirt and adjusts the amount of cleaning agents added to the cleaning water accordingly. According to the manufacturer, this ranges from 1:200 to 1:30, which is an interesting feature.

Dual-Sided Edge Cleaning

On the H14 Pro, the brush is suspended so that the distance to the edge is as minimal as possible, making it very easy to clean up the edges.

A minimal area at the edge is not reached, but this is absolutely minimal and cannot be avoided.

Apparently, the H14 Pro also supports water sterilization via electrolysis. Why do I say, apparently? Dreame doesn’t advertise this feature anywhere, but it is mentioned in the app at one point, and the vacuum cleaner has an “ultra mode,” which is usually associated with the electrolysis process.

App Connectivity & Wi-Fi Integration

Even though it always seems a bit crazy when all household appliances have integrated Wi-Fi, it can actually be reasonably practical!

The Dreame H14 Pro also has integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi! This allows you to connect to the Dreame app.

Here, you can see all the essential parameters and also make settings.

Here, you can adjust settings for self-cleaning and drying, deactivate them, control the amount of cleaning agent, and more. The app can also change the language and volume of the voice prompts.

You don’t need to connect the Dreame H14 Pro to your Wi-Fi, but it’s a nice bonus feature.

Adaptive Suction Power with Illuminated Brush

Like most high-end models, the H14 Pro can automatically control its power based on the amount of dirt.

The Dreame H14 Pro has LED lighting on the base. At first glance, this may seem like a gimmick, but it is beneficial in practice! It can help locate dirt and dust, especially in the dark or in dark corners. It also looks stylish on the H14 Pro.

GlideWheel Power System

The Dreame H14 Pro has a feature that sounds great on paper but is controversial in practice.

The vacuum cleaner’s wheels are powered, making it even easier to move in both directions. The Tineco S7 Pro had something similar, but unfortunately, I found that this system tends to fight against the user.

I’m also torn about the H14 Pro. The system here is better than Tineco ‘s, and it doesn’t work against the user, but it’s not a must-have and is generally something I could do without.

How does a wet and dry vacuum function?

Now, let’s talk about the general function of a wet vacuum cleaner. The usual wet vacuum cleaners have two tanks: a fresh water tank and a dirty water tank.

During operation, water from the fresh water tank is automatically sprayed onto the roller in the vacuum cleaner’s “foot,” soaking it.

This roller then rubs over your floor, picking up dirt, hair, and even spilled liquids.

The rotation of this roller, in combination with the suction motor, removes the collected dirt.

Using the Dreame H14 Pro

Using the Dreame H14 Pro is extremely easy. First, you fill the fresh water tank with tap water and, if necessary, the cleaning agent tank. Then you take the vacuum cleaner from the charging station, drive it to the dirty area, press a button – and it starts cleaning.

The large roller allows the H14 Pro to move effortlessly across the floor, even if you don’t want to exert much force. After cleaning, place it back on the charging station. Depending on the intensity of use, it is advisable to start the self-cleaning function and empty the dirty water tank.

As soon as it is back in its charging station, the H14 Pro is ready for subsequent use. This makes it particularly practical – much faster and more convenient than conventional mopping with a bucket and rag. Just grab it and get started!

How Well Does It Clean?

The Dreame H14 Pro’s cleaning performance is absolutely top-notch! I don’t currently know of any wet vacuum cleaner that works better than this model.

The H14 Pro removes almost any dirt on smooth floors – house dust, footprints, spilled liquids, or more stubborn stains such as sauce or mud. In most cases, just one cleaning obliterates the dirt.

Thanks to its hybrid design, the vacuum cleaner is suitable for dry dirt, such as dust and hair, as well as wet dirt and stains. And yes, it really works excellently! Even sticky liquids can be removed effortlessly. The fast-rotating roller, in combination with the continuous water supply, ensures effective cleaning.

The dirty water is reliably absorbed, so the floor remains slightly damp and dries completely in a few minutes. Thus, there is no risk of slipping on wet surfaces.

The H14 Pro also copes surprisingly well with house dust and a moderate amount of hair – including pet hair. While many wet vacuum cleaners have problems with hair, this model performs above average. Hair gets stuck less inside, often a problem with other devices.

Another advantage: Since dirt is bound in the water, the H14 Pro is ideal for allergy sufferers, such as removing pollen.

Overall, its cleaning performance is on par with the Tineco S7 Pro – if not slightly better.

Any Weaknesses?

However, there are also limits. The wet vacuum cleaner cannot pick up larger particles such as plant leaves, receipts, or objects.

It also doesn’t cope well with large amounts of lubricant. If, for example, a bottle of oil spills, you should use other methods, as the oil would stick to the roller and make cleaning more difficult. More minor greasy splashes, such as from sauce, are no problem.

Absorbs Liquid or Works on Carpets?

The short answer is yes! If you spill a bottle of beer, cola, or something similar, the H14 Pro is not concerned. Smaller amounts of liquid can be absorbed.

Such vacuum cleaners are generally not suitable for carpets. You need a different vacuum cleaner if you want to clean carpets intensively.

However, the H14 Pro can undoubtedly be used on short carpets. It is not necessarily for intensive cleaning but can be wiped off if something spills.

Self-Cleaning with Hot Air Drying

Like almost all wet and dry vacuum cleaners, the H14 Pro also has a self-cleaning function. However, this is more extensive than average. During self-cleaning, the H14 Pro runs through several different programs. The water is also heated to 60 degrees to remove dirt from the roller even more effectively.

Dreame H14 Pro Review: Best Wet Dry Vacuum for Your Home?

And yes, the self-cleaning works really well! The H14 Pro also dries its roller with hot air. This is supposed to prevent odors, which works. However, hot air drying is always somewhat controversial. Tineco does not use it, saying that the hot air and heat would encourage bacterial growth. I can’t confirm this, as manufacturers have differing perspectives.

Final Line

The Dreame H14 Pro is currently one of the best vacuum cleaners available. There’s not much more to say.

With the H14 Pro, Dreame has created a pretty perfect model that impresses in all areas.

This offers suction/cleaning performance at the absolute high-end class level, including the Tineco S7 Pro and Co. The features are also fantastic, with corner cleaning on both sides, automatic control, lighting, a separate cleaning agent tank, etc.
