The Acer Nitro V 16 is finally getting a successor after more than a year and a half. While Acer has barely revised the design of the Nitro V 16, the manufacturer is offering a Nitro V 16S to accompany the gaming laptop. This “slim” version is between 13.9 and 19.9 millimeters thick and weighs 2.1 kilograms, while the Acer Nitro V 16 2025 is slightly thicker and heavier, ranging from 16.1 to 24.5 millimeters and weighing 2.4 kilograms.

The hardware remains the same, with the top gaming netbook model always equipped with an Intel Core 9 270H and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU. Acer installs a maximum of 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Both Acer Nitro series laptop models feature two fans and four air inlets and outlets each, designed to cool the hardware. Acer uses a 16-inch IPS panel with a refresh rate of 180 Hz in each case, but different panels are available, with either 1,920 x 1,200 pixels or 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.
