The Taiwanese company MSI has a new 2K 27″ high refresh rate gaming monitor called the MAG 274QPF X30MV on its website. The 27-inch model features a Rapid VA panel with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, a 300 Hz refresh rate, DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and 1152 QD Mini LED zones.
The Rapid VA panel gaming monitor boasts a peak brightness of 1000 cd/m², a color depth of 10 bits (8 bits + FRC), and a response time of 0.5 ms (gray to gray). The AMD FreeSync gaming monitor also boasts 152 percent sRGB, 99 percent Adobe RGB, 97 percent DCI-P3, a DeltaE value of less than 2, and (purely based on VA) a 4500:1 contrast ratio.
Adaptive Sync ensures tear-free gaming. Other features include picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes, a smart crosshair overlay, an AI-supported black stabilizer, and a 24.5-inch picture mode. On gaming consoles, ALLM and VRR are possible in addition to Full HD or WQHD at up to 120 Hz.
On the interface side, there are two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4a, and a headphone output, with all graphics ports said to support the full 300 Hz. A DP 1.4 monitor comes with tilt, swivel, height adjustment (110 mm), pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), a blue light filter, and a flicker-reduced backlight.
