As JMGO’s most advanced product, the N1S Ultimate projector delivers an overwhelming visual experience with exceptional flexibility. Its innovative design and performance make it a top contender for anyone considering a new-generation TV or projector. In this JMGO N1S Ultimate review, the projector impresses with standout specifications, including a maximum brightness of 3,500 ANSI Lumens (equivalent to 1000 nits) and a 110% BT.2020 color gamut. It also features an integrated design with a flexible adjustable stand, positioning itself as an ideal Smart Home Entertainment System upgrade.

All of this creates a high-end projector in terms of image quality that can be carried for picnics and outdoor parties, something that, if you choose to buy a TV at the same price, you cannot do.
JMGO N1S Ultimate Review
Design
JMGO N1S Ultimate is dressed in two primary gray and silver tones. The overall design is relatively simple and soft, with curved corners. The first highlight is on the front, where the company arranges a laser technology projector cluster next to the sensor system for frame calibration. All are placed on a mirror-coated background that covers 2/3 of the front, creating a modern and high-class feel for this product.

The integrated stand (gimbal) that allows flexible adjustment is the next highlight of JMGO’s flagship projector model. The relatively large stand size helps the machine stand firmly on many surfaces while allowing easy adjustment of horizontal and vertical rotation.
This feature gives the N1S Ultimate an advantage over traditional designs of other projectors in the same segment. JMGO’s product helps you quickly get the desired projection angle, even when projecting onto the ceiling.

The N1S Ultimate has a bulky stand to keep the product firmly on various surfaces. This base also allows users to easily adjust the projection angle left and right, up and down flexibly. At the bottom is a rotating base with a screw hole in the center. In the international market, JMGO sells an additional option of a separate base that attaches to this screw hole to lift the product.
Seamless entertainment on the go
The JMGO N1S Ultimate projector measures 244 mm x 236 mm x 203 mm and weighs 4.5 kg, excluding the charger and remote control. Although the numbers are not compact enough to easily carry in a backpack, when put in the accompanying suitcase, this is still a highly portable product, suitable for outdoor parties and picnics when traveling by car.

Accessories with the projector include one remote control, an ample 240W power supply similar to a gaming laptop, a power cord, and a quick start guide.
The remote control that comes with the projector is a Bluetooth-connected type with a built-in microphone for voice commands.

The suitcase contains a projector with an integrated lock and handle. Although this suitcase is quite large, it is still easy to move by car.
Connectivity
The N1S Ultimate’s connectivity is adequate, with two HDMI 2.1 ports, one supporting eARC, one USB-A 2.0 port for reading data from peripherals, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.
Unfortunately, JMGO hasn’t equipped additional advanced audio ports, such as Optical ports, to connect to external audio systems because HDMI eARC isn’t popular yet.

The physical connection ports of the projector are essential on the back. With a Google TV operating system and WiFi 6 connection, N1S Ultimate can operate independently without depending on other devices.
4K Picture Quality
With a price tag of nearly $2,800, it’s reasonable to expect top-notch image quality from the N1S Ultimate. This projector delivers on that promise—and even surpasses expectations in some areas, as I’ll detail in this JMGO N1S Ultimate review.

4K resolution in this high-end segment is a must. Still, the MALC 2.0 three-color laser technology delivers brightness, color, and sharpness that exceeds my initial expectations for a small projector like this.
JMGO says the N1S Ultimate can reach a maximum brightness of 3500 ANSI Lumens, equivalent to about 1000 nits, with a contrast ratio of 1600:1. This is an impressive number for a projector, bright enough to play content in spaces with complex ambient light.
For comparison, the 1000 nits on this projector meet the high-end HDR 1000 image standard. It delivers 7-8 parts of the power of high-end TVs at the same price, though with a smaller frame size.

We must activate the Ultra Brightness option in the settings to achieve maximum brightness. However, when activated, I noticed a change in color towards a lighter direction.
I don’t need to turn the brightness to maximum in daily use. I usually keep adaptive brightness on, which is enough to fully enjoy the content the JMGO N1S Ultimate offers.
In addition to its very high brightness, the JMGO flagship also impressed me with its ability to reproduce image sharpness. A quality video source, like 4K YouTube videos, quickly overwhelmed me with what the N1S Ultimate displayed.
The details are apparent and distinct. I’m watching this on a gray wall. It would be even more pleasing to the eye if I watched it on a dedicated screen.

The image is a 200% magnified view of the N1S Ultimate’s projection frame. You can see the details and separation of the lines and hairs on the deer.
JMGO says their flagship projector can reproduce colors up to 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut. It is a huge number because the BT.2020 color gamut (or Rec2020) is one of the broadest color gamuts. It contains a much larger range of colors than the current Rec709 (equivalent to sRGB) or DCI-P3 standards.
This is also the color space commonly used in HDR content. In standard image mode, it reproduces neutral colors. I like this because the frame now looks pleasant, creating a feeling close to reality.

N1S Ultimate reproduces HDR video and is extremely eye-catching with excellent details. Dark and bright details are clearly shown, as well as neutral colors.

The reference device, a MacBook Pro 16″, has a screen with a maximum brightness of 1600 nits, enhancing rich colors.
The large frame size gives projectors an advantage over TVs in the same price range. The N1S Ultimate lets us enjoy content on a large 180″ frame from 4.8 meters away. It is three times larger than a high-end 65″ OLED or Mini LED TV priced around $2000.
The N1S Ultimate has a few disadvantages compared to other TVs in the same segment. It lacks the feature to upgrade image quality at low resolutions, commonly seen with TV programs.

Second is the absence of high refresh rates, which is ideal for enjoying sports and games more smoothly and clearly. Finally, the signal latency of 15 ms is not fast enough compared to the TV when activating Game mode to play games from consoles or PCs.
Built-in speakers
The 2x10W stereo speakers’ sound performance inside the JMGO N1S Ultimate is decent. The sound fills a 30-square-meter room with enough volume. The mid-range reproduces clearly, and the bass reaches quite deep but still lacks power.
The overall soundstage is quite spacious, creating emotions for viewers in content with gentle sounds. Of course, in crowded setups or outdoor spaces, you must combine the projector with an external speaker system to create a standard sound-image combo.
Google TV User Experience
The Google TV platform equips the JMGO N1S Ultimate, ensuring full compatibility with content on Netflix. The device features a MediaTek MT9629 CPU, 2GB RAM, and 32GB ROM, matching the specifications of many TV models today. The device plays well with 4K HDR content with H264/H265 codec during use in its collection.

The Google TV operating system integrated into the N1S Ultimate is a plus because of its ease of use, support for voice control search, and colossal application store. In addition to popular content streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube, you can easily install additional applications like Plex, KODI, etc., to manage and watch movies in your collection.
Final line
JMGO N1S Ultimate is a high-end 4K projector, from its outside appearance to its image quality and user experience. The advancement of JMGO laser technology integrated inside the top product is gradually approaching what high-end TVs can do regarding the image. At the same time, the projector continues to exploit the strengths of screen size and flexibility when allowing for quick movement and setup.
The JMGO N1S Ultimate is more than just an expensive toy for families who don’t need a TV. It offers a more flexible and engaging option than a traditional TV, providing excellent weekend entertainment with relatives and friends in various settings.
