MSI refreshed its Creator 17 Mini LED notebook with exciting new hardware, like a mini-LED display with a peak brightness of 1000 nits, an Intel Core i9-11900HK processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, and more
Now that Intel’s new product line Tiger Lake from Intel, we’re starting to see them in several new MSI laptops. The MSI Creator is one of the first business laptops to benefit from the Tiger Lake-H treatment. It also comes with several cool features like a mini LED display.
The manufacturer claims the MSI Creator 17 is one of the first laptops in the world to feature a 17-inch mini UHD (3840 x 2160) LED display clocked at 60 Hz, with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, 100% DCI-P3 spectrum coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. There’s no shortage of accolades for a laptop monitor. The screen can be associated with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (6GB VRAM, 80W + 15W Dynamic Boost), GeForce RTX 3070 (8GB VRAM, 80W + 15W Dynamic Boost or NVIDIA GeForce 3080 (16GB VRAM 80W + 15W Dynamic Boost) processor.
The MSI Creator 17 can be configured with up to an Intel Core i9-11980HK paired with 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of solid-state storage via two NVMe SSDs. Wired connectivity options include one Thunderbolt 4.0 port, one USB Type-C Gen 3.2 port, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, one HDMI port, one 23.5mm combo audio jack, one full-size SD card reader, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port. As for wireless, the MSI Creator 17 supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
The included 720p webcam has an infrared sensor, enabling Windows Hello functionality. Finally, the laptop is powered by a colossal 99.9 Wh battery that can be recharged to 230 W using the included AC adapter.
