MSI Katana GF66 Gaming Notebook with Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 GPU

A real firework of new MSI gaming laptops with Tiger Lake-H and Nvidia graphics has been introduced. The entry-level MSI Katana GF66 gaming notebook is now available to buy with Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 GPU.

The MSI laptop gaming computer from the Taiwanese manufacturer referred to as entry-level laptops for gaming, will be available in the future as black Katana versions and under the names Sword 15 and Sword 17 in a snow-white chassis. The big difference is the color of the case and the backlight of the keyboard, although not all Sword / Katana models are planned with the same CPU / GPU configurations.

However, MSI has announced that it will announce further model variants in May and June. All gaming laptops of the Katana / Sword series will be available with Intel’s new Tiger Lake H chips, which can consume a maximum of 45 watts, and you can choose an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050, RTX 3050 Ti, or RTX 3060.

The design of the dissimilar brothers is inspired by the Japanese illustrator Tsuyoshi Nagano, who is also responsible for the game “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”. All models are based on 16: 9 Full HD IPS displays with 15.6 or 17.3-inch display-diagonal and 144 Hz refresh rate, 8 or 16 GB RAM, and 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe SSD. The battery is specified with 53 Wh in each case.
