iQOO Z9 Turbo Hits the Market: A Powerhouse with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for Only $330!

The new iQOO Z9 Turbo is priced at around $330, offering a strong price-performance ratio. Vivo equips the device with the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm and an extremely bright, 144 Hz OLED display. It also features a particularly large 6,000 mAh battery.

After the announcement of the regular iQOO Z9 in March, a much more powerful turbo version now emerges. The smartphone features minor design changes, including a more rounded camera module. It upgrades to the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, offering a cheaper alternative to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

This means that the iQOO Z9 Turbo should achieve almost the same performance as the Redmi Turbo 3 (Quick Review), and, interestingly, at the same price. Moreover, Vivo upgrades the display to a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak HDR brightness of 4,500 nits. Furthermore, the PWM frequency of 3,840 Hz aims to prevent visible flickering. Additionally, Vivo has ingeniously integrated the fingerprint sensor into the display, enhancing security and ease of use.

The iQOO Z9 series mid-range smartphone features a 50 MP main camera using the Sony LYT-600 sensor in the 1/1.95 inch format. It also includes an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 16 MP selfie camera. A 6,000 mAh battery fits inside the slim 7.98 mm, 194-gram housing, supporting up to 80W charging via USB-C. The smartphone has IP64 certification, protecting it against dust and water splashes, but it is not fully waterproof. The iQOO Z9 Turbo ships with Origin OS 4 based on Android 14.

iQOO Z9 Turbo price and release date

Vivo iQOO Z9 Turbo with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is priced at $329 on Giztop.com. The top model, featuring 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, costs $429.

Please note that this phone is the Chinese edition and includes full Google Mobile Services and the Google Play Store pre-installed, with OTA updates supported. Vivo has not confirmed if the mid-range smartphone will be available internationally.
