Last year, we saw the release of the best LG curved monitor UltraWide 34WR50QC. Its successor, the LG 34WR55QC, builds upon this with enhanced features. Sporting a curved VA panel, the updated model boasts UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels with a 21:9 aspect ratio), a smoother 100 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10 compatibility for better color and brightness.
The new LG 1440 UltraWide monitor also offers the unchanged 8-bit color depth, 99 percent sRGB, 300 cd/m² typical brightness, a 3000:1 contrast, and a 5 ms response time (gray to gray). FreeSync (probably without LFC) is available for tear-free games in between. In addition, a picture-by-picture mode, a black stabilizer, and automatic signal input switching are available.
There are major differences in the interface selection, which, in addition to two HDMI inputs, a DisplayPort, and a headphone output, also has two USB 3.0 sockets and a USB-C port with DisplayPort alternate mode and 65-watt PD. The screen can not only be tilted but also adjusted in height. There is also a blue light filter, a VESA recording (100 x 100 mm), a flicker-reduced backlight, and a mode for people with color vision deficiency.
