Acer’s latest gaming notebook from the Predator Helios series is now available in US and UK. Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 gaming laptop offers up to Core i9-14900HX, GeForce RTX 4070, and an 18-inch 240Hz G-SYNC display. 

Acer announced the new Predator Helios 18 at CES 2024 in January, and dealers have been offering individual models for the past few weeks. The manufacturer announced that the new model is officially available now. 

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 is an affordable gaming laptop with limited performance capabilities. This 18-inch model’s highest configuration pairs an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. It supports up to 140 watts in turbo mode, enabling it to smoothly run demanding video games, especially with DLSS 3.5 technology.

Users can equip it with up to 32GB of RAM at a frequency of 5,600 MHz for enhanced processing speed. Its innovative cooling system, featuring liquid metal thermal paste, aims to maintain optimal performance levels. Furthermore, the laptop supports M.2 SSDs connected via PCIe 4.0 in a RAID 0 setup to significantly boost storage speed, though it’s important to note this configuration does not include data redundancy.

The Neo series from Acer aims to deliver exceptional value for money, starting with the basic models. They come with an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU with 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Additionally, they include 16 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1 TB SSD for storage.

Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 PHN18-71 gaming laptop is now available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. Pricing starts from $1,499 or £1,690.49.

The standard Predator Helios Neo 18 offers a 1,920 x 1,200 pixel display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. For those seeking higher performance, options are available with a Core i9-14900HX processor, a GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU, and a 240 Hz display, though these upgrades come at an additional cost.
