Introducing the New Dell Precision 3480: A Solid Entry-Level Workstation

Dell’s new entry-level workstation, the Precision 3480, is a solid addition to the Precision generation lineup. Featuring a 14-inch screen with 400 cd/m² bright super low-power displays, this workstation is equipped with an Intel Raptor Lake processor, up to an i9-13900H, and a wide port layout.

The Dell Precision 3480 is a compact and lightweight variant of its predecessors, with a maximum weight of 1.31 kg. It also boasts a powerful processor with a maximum of a GeForce RTX A500 and a 54 Wh battery. The workstation uses U and P series processors, ranging from a Core i5-1335U to a 14-core i7-1370P. It can support up to 64 GB DDR5-4800 RAM and up to 2 TB SSD memory in the M.2-2230 format.

The connections on the Dell Precision 3480 are abundant, with two Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.0, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, RJ-45, a microSD card reader, an audio port, and an optional smart card reader. WWAN models also come with a nanoSIM slot. Charging is possible via USB-C with 65 W (iGPU models) or 100 W/130 W for Nvidia models. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are also available on all Dell laptops, with the option of Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS in addition to Windows 11.
