Dell has unveiled the latest addition to its lineup of premium business notebooks, the Dell Latitude 7440 2023. This redesigned model comes in both ultralight and 2-in-1 variants, offering users a range of options to suit their needs.
One of the notable features of the Latitude 7440 2023 is the introduction of mini-LED lighting for the keyboard. Dell claims that this new feature can extend the battery life by up to 3 hours. The notebook is powered by Intel Raptor Lake U-series processors and is available in a 14-inch model. Users can opt for either 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM or upgrade to the higher-end version with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x RAM.
The Latitude 7440 2023 boasts a new 16:10 aspect ratio, which not only provides a more immersive viewing experience but also allows for a more compact device. The notebook comes with a QHD+ display with 400 nits of brightness, while the 2-in-1 models feature a bright touch display with 500 nits and support for pen input. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus for added durability. The clamshell versions also offer touchscreens, although with a slightly lower brightness of 300 nits and without a super-low-power option. The 4K display option has been discontinued.
A proximity sensor has been included in the Latitude 7440 2023, allowing the display to pixelate or dim when other individuals are detected nearby or when the user looks away. The laptop also features simplified login and logout processes, recognizing the user approaching or leaving the device.
Connectivity options on the Dell Latitude 7440 2023 include 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, which will receive an update to support DisplayPort 2.1. The laptop is equipped with FHD webcams that come with an infrared sensor and physical aperture, with the option to upgrade to a 5 MP camera.
