Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Book 2 Pro. The device appears in several model variants. Regardless of the model variant, the devices should convince with compact dimensions.
Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Book Pro 2. In principle, this is not a single system, but at least three model variants. Specifically, the Galaxy Book2 Pro will be launched in a 13.3- and a 15.6-inch version. Regardless of the model variant, a 12th generation Intel Core processor is always used, with both Core i5 and Core i7 models being installed. The 13-inch version has the Intel Core i5-1240P, and the 15.6-inch version has the Intel i7-1260P.
In the smaller model variant, the Intel Iris X graphics solution integrated into the processor is responsible for displaying image content. The 15.6-inch version is also available with Intel Arc Graphics, whereby the case then increases in thickness from 11.7 to 13.2 millimeters. The LPDDR5 memory is 8, 16, or 32 gigabytes in size. An NVMe SSD with a size of up to one terabyte is installed.
The display has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,80 pixels regardless of the screen diagonal, whereby an AMOLED display is used. The connection to a wireless network is via WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1 is also available. Authentication is easy via a fingerprint scanner built into the power button.
A Full HD webcam and an array consisting of two microphones are installed. Both model variants are equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 port, USB Type C, a jack plug, and a microSD card reader. The 15-inch model also comes with an HDMI port and can optionally be ordered with a nano-SIM card slot – and thus probably a mobile phone module. While the 13-inch model remains comfortably under the kilo mark at 870 grams, the 15-inch model weighs 1110 grams – and 60 grams more with a dedicated GPU.

The Galaxy Book2 Pro is available to buy on the Bhphotovideo.com at $1,349.99 for the i7 version with 16 GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and 5G connection.
UPDATE: It is now also available to buy on the Amazon.com at starting price of $967.42.
Recently, Samsung has announced the Galaxy Book Odyssey with a 15.6-inch display, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Max-Q, and GeForce RTX 3050 Max-Q cards, which will be available as Max-Q variants (approx. $1,399 on Amazon and Bhphoto).
