With the Opus X, Razer has introduced a new Bluetooth wireless headset that is surprisingly inexpensive in terms of features, because the Opus X offers Active Noise Cancellation, extremely low latency, and decent battery life.
While the Razer Opus (approx. $164.99 on Amazon) are quite high-quality gaming headphones, the company has presented a new model with the Opus X that combines first-class features with an attractive price. The over-ear Bluetooth wireless headphones are said to be perfect for gaming enthusiasts because the manufacturer promises a latency of just 60 milliseconds in “Active Gaming Mode” via Bluetooth 5.0.
Drivers with a diameter of 40 millimeters, on the other hand, should ensure decent audio quality, while a total of four microphones are available for active noise cancellation (ANC), for calls, and for game chats. With an active ANC, the battery should provide 30 hours of playback, with deactivated ANC a runtime of up to 40 hours should be possible, and it is charged via USB-C.
A few buttons on the Bluetooth headphones for PC can be used to control playback, volume, and noise suppression, while a small LED indicates whether the Bluetooth wireless headset is switched on or being charged. Obviously, savings were made especially on the case – this is largely made of plastic, but this also reduces the weight to just 270 grams, which should benefit the comfort.
