The NEC PE506UL is a new business projector from Sharp NEC Display Solutions. The LCD laser projector relies on a laser light source that should last for 20,000 to 30,000 hours, depending on the operating mode according to the manufacturer. The light output is up to 5,200 lumens, which also makes it suitable for use in bright daylight environments.

Depending on the distance between 80 and 1350 cm, the LCD projector can throw an image diagonal of 30 to 300 inches on walls or screens. Thanks to horizontal and vertical keystone correction, a 1.6x zoom, and a horizontal and vertical lens shift, the projection can be variably adapted to the circumstances.

The native resolution of the NEC PE506UL is QUXGA, i.e. 1920×1200 pixels. It can also display 4K content via upscaling, but then only at 30 Hz. The contrast ratio is specified as 3,000,000:1. Additional features include an integrated speaker with 16 watts and compatibility with AMX, Crestron, and NaviSet Administrator 2. Connections are HDMI 1.4b, RJ-45, RS232, USB-A, USB-B, VGA, and 3.5 mm handle ready. WLAN can optionally be retrofitted via a USB dongle. According to the manufacturer, the volume during operation is 27 dB in Eco mode and 37 dB in normal mode.
