Asus unveils Chromebook CX1 with 15.6-inch FHD display and Intel chip

Asus has announced the Chromebook CX1 (model CX1500CNA-AS84F) portable laptop running the Chrome OS operating system. The budget Chromebook is based on the Intel Celeron processor.

An Intel Celeron N3350 dual-core processor is installed. The chip contains two cores, two threads with a frequency of 1.1-2.4 GHz. Graphics processing is entrusted to the integrated Intel UHD 500 controller.

Applied display size of 15.6 inches diagonally with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). Provides 45 percent coverage of the NTSC color space, and the brightness is 220 nits.

The budget Chromebook comes with 8GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB eMMC storage. The equipment includes a 720p HD webcam, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless controllers, two USB Type-C (Gen 1), and 2x USB 3.2 Type-A (Gen 1) ports, a headphone jack, and a microSD slot.

The laptop is made in a ruggedized case following the MIL-STD 810H standard. It is not afraid of falling in on the state from a height of up to 30 cm. The keyboard has protection against accidentally spilled liquids.
