Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 Review: Keep doing Gym all day with Long Battery

The Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 is the low-cost Bluetooth wireless earbuds, featuring an earhook design (hooked behind the ear) and has a very high battery life (up to 36 hours on the charging case and up to 9 hours on in-ear).

The charging case and Anker headphones are coated in a thin layer of rubber to increase ear grip. The Soundcore Spirit X2 uses Bluetooth 5.0 with the aptX codec to ensure connection stability for the product as well as signal transmission.

With such a large battery capacity, the charging case is understandable. In addition, the case also has fast-charging support for the headset: a 10-minute charge will provide up to 1.5 hours of listening time, to ensure that users shouldn’t care about the issue of running out of battery. The case uses the convenient USB-C standard for charging.

Of course, the design of the Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 is well-matched with the PowerBeats Pro (Airpods Pro vs PowerBeats Pro). In addition to the ear hooks to keep the headphones from falling out of the ear, Anker also equips the earfin to help the headset stick firmly to the ear wall, suitable for use when exercising strong movements.

The bundled kit comes with different sizes of silicone eartips and earfins so that people can change them to suit the shape of the ear canal and the shape of the inner ear size. This both ensures sound insulation and a snug fit headset.

The IP68 standard of the Anker headphones is resistant to rain and sweat, so it is easy to guess that Spirit X2 is the headset made for hardcore sportspeople. The feeling of wearing Spirit X2 on the ear is very solid, comfortable when worn for 2 hours of continuous listening to music.

The Bluetooth wireless earbuds have a standard cVc 8.0 conversation microphone that filters and removes up to 30dB of noise from the surrounding environment so that our voice is loud and stable while talking. In fact, when listening to calls in situations like walking down the street, going to the supermarket, the other end of the line heard us clear and loud.

In terms of sound, this is probably the true wireless earphones with mic with the strongest bass and the most during our audio play. Anker uses Bass Turbo technology, including a 12mm dynamic driver and an acoustic chamber called Acoustic Tube to optimize the amount of bass.

The most prominent aspect of the sound is its extremely powerful bass range, the upper sub-bass beats like cannon shells in our ears that would be very suitable for those who like to listen to stamped music like EDM or Pop. We listened to “Random Access Memories by Daft Punk” which was well suited to us as the bass was rich in the true sense and the headset captures every beat.

The Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 gives everyone two options to adjust the bass: normal and bass boost via the triangle key on the control button. We listened at a fairly normal level, we found that the bass was very abundant, when the bass was boosted, the sub-bass increased a lot. This would be good for those who go to the gym with headphones, raising the bass to a moderate volume. You do not have to increase the volume level at maximum to hear it, because the music in the gym normally plays very loudly, the headphones maker has given this easy solution to cancel and reduce the bass volume, so you’ll open up the volume louder to compensate for the bass loss, which accidentally damages hearing.

The mid-sound and treble of the Spirit X2 are only moderate and somewhat submerged, the high-quality performance space is a bit far back. We also listened to Eva Cassidy’s Live at Blue Alley album,  Spirit X2 took the spot and made us feel like we are sitting in row 5 or row 6 and listening to Eva’s live performance.

Final line

So with a price of $79.99, the Anchor Soundcore Spirit X2 is, in our opinion, a suitable choice for gym, rider, cyclist, or long-distance trekking in which we get sweaty. Strong and powerful bass will keep the fire burning for hours of intense practice. For those who require a wide, spacious, and generous sound quality, the Soundcore Spirit X2 is not an appropriate choice.

The Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 is currently available to purchase via Amazon.com website, or if you want to see other headsets in the price range close to that, then we will offer you Sony’s WF-XB700 which are priced at $98 and you can also see our review to know more about it.
