Acer certainly could not save with new product announcements made at IFA 2018, but the Berlin event allowed the Taiwanese manufacturer to return to provide updates on products anticipated in recent months. The reference goes to the Acer Predator X gaming desktop and at the Berlin fair, the company has provided more details on the powerful desktop, which, however, is not yet ready for the debut on the market.
Acer Predator X ‘s distinctive feature is the hardware configuration based on dual Intel Xeon processor, combined with up to 12 ECC DIMM slots for RAM. Not yet known in detail the remaining components, probably, will include the most powerful graphics cards available on the market today, or the new GeForce RTX NVIDIA – However, Acer has not yet pronounced in this regard.
Externally, the PC comes with an imposing body, full of grids, fans, LEDs and distinguished by the unmistakable Predator logo. The brand includes the gaming products marketed by Acer, even if the average gamer could question the usefulness of a dual Xeon to devote for purely recreational purposes. Actually, Acer presents the desktop as ready for any challenge, whatever the scope of use.
A considerable computing power that could also be put at the service of gaming, perhaps used by those who develop them or those who need a lot of resources for the streaming of the same – think of the specialized Twitch and YouTube channels. Nothing prevents you from using the Acer Predator X as a rendering workstation or heavy multitasking. Before establishing to whom and for what exactly the Predator X will serve, however, it will be necessary to await the official news on its complete characteristics, together with the price and the release date. Acer has provided generic confirmations on the last point, promising that the Predator X will arrive in stores during the winter.
