Asus ROG Strix XG438QR 4K VA Monitor with FreeSync Premium Pro

With the ROG Strix XG438QR, Asus released an interesting ultra wide gaming monitor this year, which we would like to see more closely because of its falling price in the UK. The 43 inch monitor has a VA panel with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), a maximum 120 Hz refresh rate, and is DisplayHDR-600-certified.

The Asus gaming monitor is also equipped with two internal 10-watt speakers, Aura Sync lighting, and FreeSync Premium Pro. The contrast ratio is 4000: 1, the color depth is 10 bits, the response time is 4ms (gray to gray), and the typical brightness is 450cd/m².

On the interface side, three HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 (presumably with DSC), a USB 3.0 hub, and a headphone output can be used. 4K at 120 Hz is only possible via DisplayPort. At the HDMI connections, you have to get by with 60 Hz. The ergonomic features mentioned are inclination, VESA recording (100 x 100 mm), blue light filter, and flicker-free background lighting.

The Asus ROG Strix XG438QR, which weighs 14.2 kg without a stand, has 68 watts in SDR and 110 watts in HDR mode.
