Acer Travelmate P4 and Spin P4 business notebooks are available now

Acer’s new Travelmate P4 2023 series, comprising the TravelMate P4 16, P4 14, and P4 Spin, comes in convertible versions, touting upgraded processors. Fueled by the Intel Raptor Lake CPU and dedicated graphics, they promise versatility, expanded by the inclusion of a pen and touchscreen, complemented by new functionalities.

The 2023 Acer Travelmate P4 models pledge performance both on the move and in office settings. The 13th generation Intel Core i processors significantly contribute to this claim. Their performance in other notebooks showcases not just speed but also impressive efficiency.

An optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 enhances graphic capabilities, vastly accelerating graphics-intensive applications. Particularly intriguing is its integration into the Spin P4, targeting creative users.

Former versions utilized the now widely adopted 16:10 image format with provisions for editing tools, especially while working on 16:9 videos or images.

The 14-inch variant now boasts an enhanced resolution, labeled “2.2K,” offering 2,240 x 1,400 pixels, approximately 50% more pixels than Full HD. This improvement might extend to the TravelMate P4 16 and P4 Spin models at launch.

The ports align with expectations, featuring a LAN port, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, and Kensington lock. The strategic placement of two USB-A ports enhances convenience.

The inclusion of Wi-Fi 6E promises improved transmission rates despite the wireless network’s congestion, thanks to expanded radio frequencies. Additionally, LTE facilitates mobile browsing, while the Travelmate P6 reserves a 5G module.

These business notebooks boast robust aluminum builds, supposedly mitigating dust accumulation. Acer remains tight-lipped about the specifics of this technology.

The “Acer Light Sensing Technology” seems intriguing, adjusting display brightness and color rendering based on ambient brightness and color temperature. This adaptive feature, theoretically practical for graphic-intensive tasks, responds to various settings like outdoor, well-lit desks, or warmly lit living room tables.

Returning to the fray is the Acer Travelmate P4 Spin 14 (TMP414RN-53), targeting business tasks. Its reinforced touchscreen, stylus support, adaptable positioning, robust performance, and typical laptop-class security features make it a compelling choice, especially when equipped with the RTX 2050.
