Lenovo is updating its compact 13-inch ThinkBook. The new ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 is available with an 11th generation Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 4000 and WQXGA display.
The new business Lenovo notebook ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 comes in an elegant aluminum case and measures 29.9 x 20.9 x 1.49 cm. The weight depends on the equipment and is at least 1.26 kg.
Inside, a lot has changed compared to the previous model. There is a choice of new CPUs: Either the 11th generation Intel i7 with integrated Intel Iris X graphics or the AMD Ryzen 4000 with integrated AMD Radeon graphics. Up to 16 GB LPDDR4x-RAM can be combined. In addition to PCI Gen3 and optional PCIe Gen 4 SSDs, the storage options can be up to 1 TB in size.
The battery measures 56 Wh, should be sufficient for a runtime of up to 12 hours according to the manufacturer and can be charged quickly with up to 65 W. A 13.3-inch display with the new 16:10 aspect ratio can optionally be ordered with WQXGA resolution and then displays 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It offers a brightness of 300 nits, covers 100 percent sRGB, and supports Dolby Vision. The margins are less than 4.5 mm wide. This results in a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent. The display is also available as a touchscreen on request.
An HD camera with ThinkShutter and 2 HARMAN speakers with 2 watts each are built into the device. According to the manufacturer, virtual meetings should be improved by more intelligent audio technology with microphones that can switch between three different audio modes (private, shared, and ambient noise).
