Both preamplifier products have a selectable pickup (Active / Passive) to ensure the ideal amplification range, switchable PURE and JFET inputs for a clean, transparent sound to warm vintage sounds as well as the patented Z-TONE feature which you can variably control the impedance to shape the sound of your instrument accordingly.

Z-TONE Buffer Boost Preamp and DI Stompbox

This microphone preamp / DI Stompbox for guitar and bass extends your live setup with the Z-TONE sound shaping. This gives you the opportunity to individually adjust your instrument in terms of input impedance before your sound goes through the rest of the signal chain.

The Buffer Boost also has a large dynamic and frequency range. Another feature is the buffer, which protects the guitar/bass signal from long-term decay on longer cable runs or when using many FX pedals. Should you ever need a little more steam while playing, there is also a boost function available. Other features include true bypass, balanced and unbalanced output and ground/lift.

Z-TONE DI Box

With the active DI box, the Z-TONE technology is also available for your line-level sources. Input and output gain are adjustable, you have both a balanced output with ground/lift option and unbalanced output. The DI box is also equipped with a 20dB PAD switch. The practical link output mirrors the input signal so that you can always record the clean DI signal in addition to the signal from your amps or pedalboard.
