Mackie launches Creative Reference CR-X Series Monitor Speakers at NAMM 2020

Mackie’s CR-series multimedia monitor speakers are growing in time for NAMM 2020: several new models and a subwoofer are rolling out. Mackie monitor audio speakers including CR3-X, CR4-X, and CR5-X are new in the range.

There are also Bluetooth monitor speakers including CR3-XBT, CR4-XBT, CR5-XBT, and CR8-XBT. For the right humming in the low end, the manufacturer also has a new subwoofer, called the CR8S-XBT multimedia Bluetooth subwoofer.

Mackie CR3-X and CR4-X

These two monitor speakers offering a compact solution for quality audio playback in home studios and gaming setups. With 50W of amplification driving 3″ woofers (CR3-X) / 4″ woofers (CR4-X) and 0.75″ tweeters.

The pair consists of one passive speaker and one powered speaker that connects with an included speaker cable. Each monitor incorporates a custom-tuned rear port to smoothly extend the low end and a specially designed waveguide for clarity and proper dispersion of high frequencies.

Mackie CR5-X

Meanwhile, Mackie CR5-X is a pair of 5″ studio speaker offering 80W of amplification driving 5″ woofers and 0.75″ tweeters, it delivers more volume and bass than the smaller CR3-X and CR4-X monitor speakers.

Mackie CR8-X

The Mackie CR8-XBT and CR8S-XBT 8″ multimedia monitors come with 160W / 200W (CR8S-XBT) of amplification driving 8″ woofers and 0.75″ tweeters, it delivers even more volume and bass than the smaller CR5-XBT.

With plenty of I/O provided, the CR8-XBT and CR8S-XBT can accept either a wired connection from your audio interface or computer soundcard or a wireless stream via Bluetooth from your mobile device.
