Sony Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra officially Launched

Just last week we published the leaked images and specifications of the Sony Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra, Sony today officially launched the Xperia M5 successor to the Xperia M4 Aqua was launched just five months and Xperia C5 Ultra is a combination of two handsets Xperia C4 and Xperia Ultra T2.

The Sony Xperia M5 design is quite similar to the Xperia Z3 + and brings a best midrange phone which has a 21.5-megapixel Exmor RS sensor, f/ 2.2 aperture while a front camera of 13-megapixel. It is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 Processor. The device still has standards IP65 / IP68 water and dust resistant certifications.

The design of the Xperia M5 inspired from the Xperia Z3+ with a familiar rounded corners, contour edges and double-sided glass. But it still is a mid-range segment phone while owning one speaker which is located at the bottom edge of the device similar to Xperia M4 Aqua. The front of the device with 5-inch IPS display and Full-HD resolution. The device is 7.6mm slim and only 0.3mm thicker than the Xperia Z3.

The main highlight of the Sony Xperia M5 its Exmor RS camera with a resolution of 21.5MP, Hybrid autofocus technology with AF speed only 0.25 seconds; Integrated 5x zoom combined with 4K video recording backed by the Helio X10 processor which first seen on the M series. Front camera has a resolution of 13-megapixel and also supports autofocus and HDR photography for selfie. Sony also extended its camera app by adding new imaging apps like Creative Effect, Style Portrait etc.

The Xperia M5 overcome disadvantages of the Xperia M4 Aqua while owned the 16GB of internal memory and microSD slot to expand memory up to 200GB. It features a 3GB of RAM with Dual SIM slots.

Along with Xperia M5, Sony has also introduced Xperia C5 Ultra. It features a 6-inch wide display, but possesses a very slim body and compact size when compared to other similar devices on the market. This smartphone is designed for the Selfie lovers, It has a 13-megapixel front and rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, autofocus and bright LED flash. It measures 164.2 x 79.6 x 8.2 mm and weighs 187g.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has a familiar design of the Sony Xperia C4 based on OmniBalance design. It has a 6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology for display. It has quite compact design which is inspired from the Xperia Z2 or Z3 +. The main highlight of the device is its wide angle front camera of 13MP with Exmor RS sensor, autofocus, LED flash and HDR mode for both image and video recording, including electronic image stabilizer for front camera and 1080p video recording at 60fps. Meanwhile, back camera also has a similar specification, but the lens has a little narrow angle. A 13MP selfie camera will enhance the ability to take pictures for users with such apps like Style Portrait, AR mask, Face Print and much more.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra is powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and also supports microSD card up to 200GB. The Xperia C5 Ultra also supports Dual SIM with 4G LTE network, it packs a 2930 mAh battery, a little lower than the Xperia C4. Along with Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra will be available in mid-August and the price has not been yet disclosed.
