The Micromax Yu Yureka Plus smartphone that was launched recently at the Amazon store with a price of Rs. 9,999 – approximately $156, has reportedly got a price cut of Rs. 1,000. A new price of the handset is now only Rs. 8,999 – approximately $140.
According to the Micromax’s Yu, the Yu Yureka Plus now comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,999. The company made the announcement via its Facebook and Twitter account, and the device was already available to register at the Amazon store until August 6, 12PM with this new price.
The Yu Yureka Plus supports dual-SIM and runs Cyanogen OS 12-based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box. It features a a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full-HD 1080×1920 pixels, pixel density of 401ppi and also protected by the Corning gorilla glass 3.
It is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 SoC, Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The 16GB of internal storage on the Yu Yureka Plus is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB, which is quite good when compared to the previous Micromax Yu Yureka specifications.

The Yu Yureka Plus sports a 13-megapixel Sony IMX241 CMOS sensor with 5p Largan Blue Lens, autofocus, f/2.2 aperture with LED flash. While a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with useful features like HDR, live filters, burst shot, slow-mo videos and much more.
Connectivity options on the headset include 4G CAT 4, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Micro-USB 2.0 options. The Micromax Yu Yureka Plus is powered by a 2500mAh battery which can be delivered up to 8 hours of Talk time, up to 210 hours of standby time and up to 7 hours of browsing time.
