Panasonic has launched a new 2-in-1 rugged notebook under its Toughpad series, named Toughpad FZ-Q2. Supposedly “designed for mobile workers”, the Panasonic FZ-Q2 will hit the shelves in Europe starting May this year at 1,995 Euros – approximately $2111, and Windows 7 SKU in June 2017, while the details of availability in other markets were not revealed. 
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Q2 2-in-1 rugged notebook features a 12.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD touchscreen display with 350nit brightness and Anti-reflective screen technology. It has a fanless design, apart from running Windows 10 Pro operating system out of the box.
A 64-bit Intel Core m5-6Y57 dual-core v-Pro processor (1.1GHz base clock up to 2.8GHz with Turbo boost technology) powers the FZ-Q2 2-in-1 notebook, along with Intel HD Graphics and 4GB of RAM, expandable up to 8GB. 
The Panasonic FZ-Q2 features a IP5x rating, has semi-rugged design made of magnesium alloy cabinet casing with ABS and elastomer edge guards can withstand light, outside duties. The notebook bears 128GB Solid State Drive with 256GB as a factory option and features an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED light and 1080p webcam with dual array mic.
The connectivity options of the Panasonic FZ-Q2 include optional 4G LTE with GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.0. The company also claims that the notebook can offer up to 9 hours of battery life with the user-replaceable 4740mAh battery, and charging time is about 2.5 hours.
