Nintendo has introduced a new handheld console that is compact enough to fit in your pocket and that brings the three classic The Legend of Zelda games in series as well as an additional mini-game along with some other practical features.
The Nintendo Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. (approx. $49 on Amazon) was a success because the company has now introduced another gaming handheld, complete with a green accent, for the 35th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda and with “The Legend of Zelda” inscription.
Apart from the color, the hardware seems to have changed a little. The Nintendo Game Watch mini-console still offers a D-pad, two buttons for game inputs, and a few small buttons to call up the other features of the device. Nintendo has not yet published any technical data, but it can be assumed that the device, like the older model, has a battery that is charged via USB-C.
There is a big difference in the software, however, because the new Nintendo Zelda Game & Watch comes with four games, including the first game in The Legend of Zelda games in series from 1986, the somewhat controversial successor Zelda II: The Adventures of Link, the Original version of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, which was recently remade for the Nintendo Switch ( approx. $41.99 on Amazon), as well as the classic Game & Watch game Vermin.
The tiny handheld can also be used as a clock or timer, each with graphics and sound effects is taken straight from The Legend of Zelda games. The new Game & Watch will be on the market on November 12th, and the device costs $49.99, as is already listed on the Amazon.com and Bestbuy.com online stores.
As part of E3, Nintendo has now released an impressive trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which is one of the top-rated games of all time. A direct comparison with the first game shows the impressive graphics upgrades.
