LG GX Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer will match Perfectly with Gallery OLEDs

LG has introduced a very flat sound bar that is ideally tailored to the new OLED TVs in the Gallery series. The new LG GX Soundbar is aimed primarily at buyers of the new GX Gallery OLED TVs. Because the new LG sound bar with subwoofer is a perfect match for the gallery televisions, both visually and in terms of dimensions.

The new GX soundbar from LG has a total output of 420 watts and a 3.1-channel. In addition to the soundbar itself, a wireless subwoofer is also included. Rear speakers (SPK8) are optionally available. Either the sound bar is hung on a wall under the television, for which the Gallery series from LG is predestined. Or it can be set up with a sturdy steel stand.

Together with a Gallery OLED, the new LG sound bar with subwoofer should offer a home cinema system from a single source. It supports many of today’s common standards and formats. These include Dolby Atmos and DTS: X as well as passthrough for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. There are also HDMI eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) and Bluetooth. In addition, the soundbar from LG is certified for Hi-Res audio and can process lossless audio with up to 24 bit or 96 kHz. LG AI Sound Pro is designed to analyze the audio content in real-time and optimize the sound accordingly.

LG specifies the dimensions of the GX soundbar as 15 x 144.6 x 3.25 cm. In terms of width, it fits perfectly with the 65-inch OLED in LG’s Gallery series. With a depth of just over 3 cm, it is also ideally matched to the flat Gallery TVs.

Price and availability

The LG GX Soundbar is now available to buy via the BestBuy.com for $999.99. However, we knew that its price is going to be very high because LG was connecting it to its GX Gallery OLED TVs from the beginning.

Recently, Polk Audio has also made available it MagniFi 2 soundbar for TV with multimedia features like 3D Audio Mode in order to recreate a “3D” experience conceptually similar to Dolby Atmos and DTS: X.
