Fotodiox EF-FXRF Fusion Smart AF + ND Throttle Adapter for Canon EF, EF-S to Fujifilm X-Mount

Fotodiox recently announced the release of the Vizelex EF-FXRF Fusion Smart AF + ND Throttle Lens Adapter for Canon EF and EF-S Lens to Fujifilm X-Mount cameras is now available to buy on Amazon.

The adapter not only allows Fuji X camera users to mount Canon EF lenses, but also provides full access to autofocus, image stabilization, and aperture control. The adapter has a built-in variable neutral density filter ND2-256, which can reduce the illumination from 1 to 8 stops.

To date, not many lenses have been released for Fujifilm X cameras, and besides, the prices for these lenses cannot be called democratic. The adapter will fit any Canon EF lens, however, some lenses may experience slow or no autofocus. There is also a lever that allows you to switch between aperture-priority and program modes without having to adjust using the camera’s menu.

The lens adapter body has a micro USB connector for firmware updates that may be released in the future. new Vizelex Cine ND Throttle now features a geared rotating ring for more precise ND selections and can be used with follow focus accessories. The adjustment is made in the form of a gear-wheel for a more accurate selection of the ND density, this ring can be controlled using follow-focus systems if desired. In the minimum position, we have a density of 1, in the maximum – 8, which is quite logical. 

The installation of various light filters, including ND filters inside the adapter, has recently gained popularity since this scheme allows you to achieve better image quality than the traditional installation of a light filter.

Last week, Fotodiox has also made available the new Pro Pronto Autofocus Adapter for Leica M-Mount Lens to Fuji camera. The adapter enables autofocus of Leica M-mount lenses with Fujifilm X-series cameras. It is designed to allow Leica M-mount lenses that weigh up to 1.5 lbs to be used on select Fujifilm X-mount cameras.
