Asus ZenScreen Go MB16AWP 15.6-inch display with a strong battery

A new 15.6-inch portable external monitor is coming from the Taiwanese company ASUS. The ZenScreen Go MB16AWP weighs just 1.09 kg including the stand.

The new Asus portable monitor has an IPS panel with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), 60 Hz refresh rate, 141 PPI, and 1200:1 contrast ratio. The portable screen has 8-bit color depth, 5 ms response time (grey to grey), and 250 cd/m² typical brightness. According to the datasheet, the sRGB color space is 100 percent covered.

The built-in 7800 mAh battery promises a runtime of up to 3.5 hours per charge. The latter value was determined by the manufacturer in wireless mode at 100 percent volume. Other features of the portable laptop monitor include two internal 1-watt speakers, a blue light filter, and a flicker-free backlight.

Thanks to the integrated G-sensor, the Asus Zen Screen recognizes the current display orientation and automatically switches between landscape and portrait format. A kickstand with tilt adjustment is placed on the back, whereby the external monitor can alternatively be screwed to standard tripods thanks to the 1/4 inch thread.

The range of interfaces includes mini – HDMI, USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode, and a headphone output. Thanks to WLAN functionality including AirPlay and Miracast support, wireless mirroring is possible so that content from third-party devices can be displayed without great effort.
