The latest Garmin Vivosmart news is the manufacturer has unveiled the brand new Vivosmart 5, an advanced fitness tracker that addresses the major weaknesses of the previous model. Above all, the OLED display is now 66 percent larger than on the Vivosmart 4, the panel now measures 10.5 x 18.5 millimeters with a resolution of 88 x 154 pixels, which means that information can be displayed much larger.

The larger area makes the touchscreen interface easier to use, although Garmin has also added a large button to make it easier to use during a workout. Unlike the previous model, the wristband of the Vivosmart 5 can be replaced, which is particularly useful in the event of a defect, but the color can also be changed after purchase.

The Garmin fitness watch is waterproof, so it can also be worn for swimming, and the battery lasts seven days with normal use. Garmin offers a whole range of fitness features, including a heart rate and SpO2 sensor. The bracelet can record the user’s sleep, breathing rate, female cycle, and stress level.

Steps taken and calories burned are automatically tracked, but Garmin also offers fitness apps for walking, running, yoga, pilates, cardio, strength training, and more. A GPS module is not integrated, so you have to bring a smartphone with you to record the distance covered while cycling. After all, incoming notifications can be displayed from the connected smartphone.
