A renowned studio lighting manufacturer, Elinchrom has unveiled the Elinchrom ONE off camera flash, the first rechargeable compact flash in its range.
The flash is powered by a lithium-ion battery and weighs only 1.5 kg. It is rated for 725 operations on a single charge. Elinchrom ONE has a compact size and is reported to be no larger than Canon’s 70-200mm telephoto lens.
Another feature is the protection of the device case from atmospheric influences. In addition, the camera flash is capable of charging from any power source via the USB-C port, which greatly expands the possibilities of its use.
Also, the manufacturer has equipped the battery with a charging function right during operation. For example, you can work with the flash and charge it from an external battery at the same time.
The new studio lights flash is compatible with Elinchrom’s OCF mount. This allows most Profoto OCF modifiers to be used. For example, curtains, diffusers, and other accessories, as well as all compatible modifiers with Elinchrom mount.
With a maximum output of 131W, the actual light output from ONE is similar to that of most 200+ W flashes. At 1 meter and ISO 100, ONE is rated for F/11.9.
The Elinchrom ONE is equipped with a touch screen on the back for adjusting the settings, in addition, the compact flash received a two-tone modeling light. The new product is capable of producing 3000 lumens, and the modeling light temperature can be adjusted from 2700k to 6500k with a color rendering index of 95.
The Elinchrom ONE is equipped with a high-speed sync function of up to 1/8000s, which allows you to freeze motion or dim ambient light. Another of the advantages is the presence of smart cooling Pro-Active, which is able to analyze the photographer’s working style and minimize the noise level of cooling, according to the manufacturer.

The new Elinchrom ONE compact studio lighting flash is now available for pre-order via the Bhphotovideo.com and Adorama.com online e-shop for $899.99 and shipping will start from September 06, 2021. If you need a set with two flashes, then it will cost $1,799.99.
It is also reported that an additional Elinchrom 20,000mAh 18W USB-C power supply unit, charger, carrying bag, and various OCF modifiers will be available.
