Are you ready for the latest addition to the DJI family? The DJI Mini 2 SE mini foldable HD camera drone is now available for pre-order, with a release date of March 18th. This highly anticipated drone is sure to be a game-changer in the world of aerial photography.
The new mini foldable HD camera drone for beginners in the DJI drone world is based on the DJI Mini 2 and, compared to the first SE generation, improves the connection to the controller in particular.
The Chinese drone builder is now also switching to the more modern DJI Mini 2 base and slimming it down a bit, for example, with the LEDs on the front, which are missing in the SE version, and with the topic of 4K video, which the cameras of the non-SE have -versions reserved. The most important difference to the first DJI Mini SE is the switch to OcuSync 2.0, which not only guarantees longer ranges but also significantly more stable connections to the controller. This is the well-known RC-N1, which is used in conjunction with a tablet or smartphone to remotely control the DJI Mini 2 SE.
The mini foldable HD camera drone has a gimbal-stabilized 12-megapixel sensor in 1/2.3 inch size, which can record a maximum of 2.7K videos with a bit rate of 40 Mbit/s, with Full HD there is also a 4x digital -Zoom possible, photos can be created in RAW format. Panorama shots and QuickShots are possible, but many more advanced functions, especially those that require obstacle detection, are reserved for the DJI Mini 3 Pro, which is more than twice as expensive. If you are looking for a better camera but can do without pro features such as object avoidance, the DJI Mini 3 is also a good choice.
The new 249-gram drone has a sensor on the underside and supports the return-to-home function. With the 2,250 mAh batteries already known from the DJI Mini 2 and the DJI Mavic Mini, it stays in the air for a maximum of 31 minutes and is suitable for occasional pilots and beginners who do not have any major demands on the camera or flight characteristics.
