Lenovo’s top-of-the-line convertible laptop Yoga C940 with 10th Gen Ice Lake, gets a further price cut in anticipation of the upcoming 11th Gen Tiger Lake delivery before Thanksgiving.
Originally $1,600 at launch, the Lenovo Yoga C940 convertible notebook tablet is now $400 off at BestBuy.com website while supplies last. The 2-in-1 notebook tablet hit the market exactly one year ago when Ice Lake was starting to appear on a number of Ultrabooks. Note that this exact system was at $1,300 when it was last sold on Amazon.
The transaction in question is remarkable as it involves a loaded Yoga C940 SKU, equipped with the Core i7-1065G7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of NVMe SSD and a 4K UHD touchscreen. This contrasted with last week’s IdeaPad Slim 7 offerings, which only had 8GB of RAM. It has a bright 500-pixel display, but with a mediocre battery life of just under 7.5 hours.
It’s likely that retailers will give even bigger discounts on 10th Gen Ice Lake laptops in the coming weeks to make way for the 11th Gen Tiger Lake. The Tiger Lake series is expected to offer an even bigger leap in GPU performance, while the gains in raw CPU performance will be relatively minor. If none of the recently announced Lenovo laptops appeal to you, the Yoga C940 should be more than enough.
