The optical design consists of 11 elements in 9 groups, including 3 extra-low dispersion HOYA elements for suppressing chromatic aberration and distortion. The maximum aperture of f0.95 is suitable for low-light performance and offers excellent depth-of-field control, while the 13-blade aperture provides beautiful bokeh.

The all-metal lens barrel has focusing scales, manual control with smooth movement, and a minimum focusing distance of 25 cm. Induced multi-layer coating to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in bright environments.
