7Artisans releases 50mm F0.95 Lens for APS-C Cameras

7Artisans has released an affordable 50mm f0.95 lens for APS-C cameras with Sony E, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X, EF-M, and MFT mounts. It’s a manual focus lens with a stunning f/0.95 to f/16 aperture and a click-free aperture ring that videographers will appreciate.

The lens offers a minimum focal length of 45 cm, a 31.8 ° field of view, a 62 mm filter thread, and a 13-blade aperture. The optical design consists of 7 elements in 5 groups, including two HOYA glass elements with extra-low dispersion. The lens barrel is made of metal, including the metal lens cap, and the lens weighs 416 grams.

7Artisans claims that when mounted on APS-C cameras, the lens and camera body will be extremely balanced. The lens does not have a stabilizer. The new 50mm lens joins an ever-growing line of interesting and affordable manual optics for mirrorless systems, giving photographers even more creative tools to add to their arsenal.

It’s worth noting that the new manual focus lens, like most of the 7Artisans lineup, lacks vibration or shake reduction features. To keep the lenses economical, most of the lenses that the company makes are pretty simple: in addition to high aperture, they have virtually no other features.

Price and availability

The 7Artisans 50mm f0.95 APS-C manual focus lens has been priced at $236, and it can be purchased via the Amazon.com online shop.
