Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is an upcoming new rugged tablet, is getting closer to its possible official launch. After receiving FCC certification last week, the Korean company’s product was also spotted in the well-known GFXBench benchmark portal, which showed most of its specifications.
Contrary to what has been leaked so far, Galaxy Tab Active 2 (SM-T395) will not be a real entry-level tablet. According to the GFXBench, the tablet will feature an 8.0-inch display with 1280×800 pixel resolution and will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 7870 SoC supported by ARM Mali-T830 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The remaining Galaxy Tab Active 2 specifications include an 8-megapixel rear camera with FHD video recording with a maximum resolution up to 1920×1080 pixels), there is a 5-megapixel front camera, and it runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
A decisive step forward with respect to the predecessor, which has only 1.5GB of RAM and Snapdragon 400 SoC. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 release date should take place by the end of the year in Latin America and Europe.
