Yongnuo YN35mm F2R DF DSM for Canon RF officially announced

Introducing the Yongnuo 35mm F2R DF DSM, a full-frame lens with autofocus and a Canon RF mount. This lens boasts a compact and lightweight body, supporting custom control ring settings. It includes features like an AF/MF focus mode switch and a dust- and water-resistant rubber ring.

The digital stepper motor (DSM) ensures fast start-stop, high precision, and quiet focusing, making it suitable for both photography and video recording.

The lens design incorporates 9 elements in 8 groups with nano-multi-layer coating, featuring 1 aspherical lens to compensate for various aberrations and 1 low dispersion lens to effectively suppress dispersion problems caused by wide viewing angles. The 7 round aperture blades contribute to creating round bokeh.

A single low dispersion element is employed to minimize color fringing and chromatic aberrations, aiming for heightened clarity and color accuracy. Additionally, an aspherical element and a high-refractive index element are incorporated to mitigate distortion and spherical aberrations, enhancing overall sharpness and precise rendering.

The application of nano multi-layer coating to individual elements serves to manage flare and ghosting, particularly beneficial when working in bright and backlit conditions.

Thanks to the USB Type-C interface, users can easily download the latest firmware for lens and control ring updates.
