Western Digital has expanded its Gaming SSD series with the WD Black SN770. This is an M.2 drive equipped with a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface. This WD SN770 SSD is offered in 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB capacities. The WD_Black SN770 SSD M.2 2280 does not use DRAM caching.
In the case of a 250 GB M.2 2280 SSD, the sequential read speed reaches 4000 MB/s, the sequential write speed is 2000 MB/s, the performance on random access read operations is 240,000 IOPS, and on write operations – 470,000 IOPS.
In the case of a 500 GB SSD, the sequential read speed reaches 5000 MB/s, the sequential write speed is 4000 MB/s. This WD SSD drive claims 460,000 IOPS for random-access reads and 800,000 IOPS for writes.
The 1TB SSD claims a maximum sequential read speed of 5150 MB/s, sequential write speed of 4900 MB/s, random access read performance of 740,000 IOPS, and random access write performance of 800,000 IOPS.
Finally, the 2TB SSD is capable of 5150MB/s sequential read speed and 4850MB/s sequential write speed, while achieving random access performance of 650,000 IOPS in reading mode and 800,000 IOPS in recording mode, according to WD.
As for the resource, it is listed as 200, 300, 600, and 1200 TBW for a 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB drive, respectively. The drives come with a five-year warranty.
