LG 24BP450Y 24-inch Office monitor with strong ergonomics

With LG 27BP450Y – a new LG PC monitor for office work with extensive ergonomic functions was recently introduced. The South Korean giant is planning a smaller sister model called LG 24BP450Y, which technically has a few things in common. The built-in IPS panel has a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, a maximum refresh rate is 75 Hz, and a 5 ms response time.

The new office monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, the typical brightness is 250 cd/m², and the power consumption at 20 watts. The specs are contradictory concerning the built-in loudspeakers. On the one hand, it states that there are none. On the other hand, there is talk of “2 x 3 W” and “Stereo”. A black stabilizer and a mode for people with color blindness are definitely on board.

For connectivity, the new LG PC monitor packs DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, and a headphone jack. Apparently, there are no USB ports at all. In terms of ergonomics, rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (75 x 75 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-reduced backlighting are available.

The LG 24BP450Y office monitor costs $229, can be purchased via Bhphotovideo.com and comes with a three-year warranty.
