Packaging and Design

The Razer Pro Click Mini comes in a small light green box. The package includes a small white bag for transporting the device, a pair of AA alkaline batteries, and a user manual.

The design of the Razer wireless mouse is white in color and compact in size. It looks like a typical office mouse. The mouse easily fits in an open palm of medium size. The entire top panel is removable and is a single piece. The top panel is fixed with two magnets and various guides that ensure precise placement and prevent accidental shifting.

The Razer logo is printed on the top panel, while the Razer logo is traditionally placed on game controllers from this manufacturer. A stop is provided at the end of the case closest to the user to remove the top panel. A light force is enough to gain access to the internal compartment of the device.

Next to the scroll wheel is a two-position switch that locks or unlocks the inertial rotation, which is very convenient for browsing sites and when working with texts. Note that the wheel also supports horizontal scrolling. To do this, you need to apply efforts to its sides.

The left and right sides of the mouse are equipped with a gray hard rubberized coating with a tiny relief in the form of small triangles. There are no buttons on the right side.

The mouse has two slots for AA alkaline batteries, but if desired, you can install only one to reduce the weight of the mouse. Between the slots, there is a place to store the adapter responsible for wireless connection via a 2.4 GHz radio channel.

The Razer claims that the battery life from two AA alkaline batteries in Bluetooth connection mode is up to 725 hours (a month of continuous operation), and in radio channel mode – up to 465 hours (20 days).

There are four sliding plates on the bottom of the device, one of them surrounds the optical sensor window. To the left of the sensor is a three-position switch responsible for selecting the interface for connecting or disconnecting the manipulator. All three switch positions are signed.

To the right of the window is a button for changing the resolution of the optical sensor by sequential switching. Next to the button is a bright multi-color indicator LED, each profile has its own color.

To set up wireless mouse sensor is configured in the Razer Synapse proprietary application.

Performance

Although the Razer Pro Click Mini mouse is designed for creative and office work, its hardware is similar to that used in gaming mice, so for the sake of completeness, we also tested it in games.

The computer mouse wireless model performed well while surfing the Internet, watching videos, text and working with various edit works. Side-scrolling is a nice addition, but the speed of action isn’t adjustable, which limits this functionality. But if you don’t have enough horizontal scrolling in a window, for example, a video editor, you will have it.

The ergonomic shape of the body is comfortable for finger grip, the mouse is completely covered by the front of the user’s palm. Despite its small dimensions with two batteries, the mouse is quite weighty and glides well on the mat. The full travel of the main buttons is short, to within 1-1.5 mm.

Judging by the appearance, membrane switches are used in the device, which explains the relatively low noise level when pressing the button.

The scroll wheel turns easily. Inertial rotation mode is a time-tested useful feature that improves comfort when viewing the news feed or forums.

It feels like the side buttons are pressed hard compared to the main ones, but this eliminates accidental pressing and, in general, does not cause discomfort.

The mouse allows you to accurately position the cursor, which is important when working with graphics or editing texts when you have to select and move entire paragraphs.

The Razer Pro Click Mini appearance is appropriate for any desktop, the combination of white and gray colors is universal. Tactilely, the surface plastic is slightly rough, so there is a feeling of a secure grip.

The compact size allows you to use the mouse on the go or at outdoor events. The presence of the Bluetooth interface ensures compatibility with laptops, even if the proprietary wireless adapter is left included in the desktop PC at home.

Well, after a working day, why not devote some time to entertainment? We tested the manipulator in the following games: CS: GO, Escape from Tarkov, Ready or Not, Dota 2, Mordhau, osu!, Arma 3, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, StarCraft II, Hidden Deep, and Battle Brothers.

The compact dimensions of the mouse are positioned towards the grip with the fingers, and in the case of a large palm, the fingers will be extended. Most of the palm rests on the mat or rests on weight, which can reduce the level of control in games, especially when active camera controls are required. In general, what is convenient while working may be inconvenient in gaming. However, the Razer Pro Click Mini mouse is specially designed for office work.

If the mass of the mouse feels excessive, you can remove one of the two batteries, which we did. In fast-paced games, this is beneficial, a light mouse can be moved a little faster. A high degree of control, coupled with speed, can improve performance.

The short travel of the main buttons caused inconvenience in games because at times it was not clear whether the click had occurred or the action had not produced the expected effect. In gaming, it seemed it was the tool that could hinder success. But in games such as Battle Brothers, where there is no hurry and the need for precise positioning, the mouse is comfortable to use.

In general, the Razer Pro Click Mini wireless mouse can be used in casual games, but it is not a solution for gamers.

Final line

The Razer Pro Click Mini is a good mouse for everyday use in office work, creative work, and slow-paced gaming.

The device can be bought for $80 on Amazon.com, Bestbuy.com, and Amazon.co.uk. It is clear that such mice are not bought for ordinary clerks: they are expensive. But everyone who can afford it will not be disappointed with either the design, the form, or the possibilities. If your budget doesn’t allow it, then you can also look at an affordable wireless mouse called Logitech Signature M650 (REVIEW), which costs only $40.

Pros:

  • Ergonomic design
  • Stylish look
  • Horizontal scroll
  • Single battery operation

Cons:

  • No horizontal scroll speed adjustment
