With many high-end technologies and hardware, can the 4,000 mAh battery of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 be enough to handle and provide users with long-lasting usage time? Let’s find out in this Galaxy Z Flip6 battery review below.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 boasts numerous valuable upgrades over its predecessor. The new design is more practical, powerful, equipped with additional AI features, and has a strong battery upgraded to 4,000 mAh from 3,700 mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 impresses users with its powerful configuration with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip, integrated smart and extremely convenient Galaxy AI, more optimized, more practical design, and 50MP camera for sharp photo quality. Besides those factors, the device’s battery is also more optimized.

Battery Testing Conditions for Galaxy Z Flip6
I will conduct two tests to check the battery life of the Galaxy Z Flip6. The first test will be through PC Mark software running from 100% until the device stops. The second test will involve daily tasks for 1 hour until the battery is low or depleted. This will allow you to easily visualize its duration.
The test conditions are also quite simple:
- Log in to accounts, install social networking and game applications
- Screen brightness: 60%
- Sound: 50%
- Bluetooth, 4G, location: off
- WiFi: On
- Display rate: 120Hz
Battery Test Using PC Mark
First, I will measure the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 using PC Mark software. The PC Mark application assesses battery life by running continuous tasks. These include photo editing, web browsing, and video watching for many hours.
The result is 11 hours and 52 minutes, with 18% battery remaining from 100% after the test. I think 11 hours and 52 minutes is an excellent usage time. Considering real-world usage, the device can effortlessly meet users’ continuous needs for a full day of work and study.
Battery Usage on Galaxy Z Flip6 During One Hour of Tasks
First, I will measure the battery consumption of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 in 1 hour. Tasks will include surfing the internet with Chrome (reading stories, watching movies, reading Sforum news), then surfing Facebook and TikTok, and playing games using both WiFi and 4G. This evaluation will determine how long the device can last, and I will summarize the results in the chart below for you to see:
As you can see, for everyday tasks, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 consumes less battery, and using the 4G network only increases battery usage by 2 or 3%. As for heavier tasks such as playing games like I played Genshin Impact above, the device will consume more power.
A Day with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6
Starting a new day with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 as a content writer, my work primarily involves using social networks and the camera. From 8 am to 9 am, I used the TikTok application while multitasking with my morning routine. During this hour, the battery dropped from 100% to 96%, indicating a 4% consumption.
Continuing from 9 am to 10 am, I drove to the office and listened to music on YouTube, resulting in a decrease from 96% to 88%, consuming 8% of the battery. Therefore, in the first two hours from 8 am to 10 am, the device used 12% of its battery.
From 10 am to 11 am, I continued to use Facebook continuously, reducing the battery from 88% to 82%, a 6% consumption. From 11 am to 12 pm, I used Chrome to watch movies and access documents, depleting the battery from 82% to 75%, consuming 7%. Thus, from 10 am to 12 pm, another 13% of battery was used.
At noon, instead of taking a break for meals or rest, I focused on testing the camera. Between 12 pm and 1 pm, I used the camera extensively, reducing the battery from 75% to 63%, consuming 12%.
I continued using the camera until 1:47 pm, during which time the battery dropped from 63% to 49%, indicating a further 14% consumption. I primarily used the camera last Monday and didn’t engage much in gaming or other activities.
After a break, I resumed using TikTok and Facebook until 2:20 pm. During this period, the battery decreased from 49% to 38%, with an additional 11% consumption. Following this, I used the device for texting and document composition for 15 minutes, which led to a 3% drop in battery, leaving it at 35%.
At 2:35 pm, I reviewed and edited photos and videos on the Galaxy Z Flip6, using Capcut to edit a video. By 3:38 pm, the battery had decreased to 31%, indicating a 4% consumption.
Later, while driving back to the office, I used the Galaxy Z Flip6 to back up images to Google Drive and continued video editing with Capcut. During a break spent browsing Facebook and TikTok until 4:37 pm, the battery dropped from 31% to 19%, a 12% consumption.
From 4:40 pm, I listened to a YouTube podcast until 5 pm, when the battery level reached 16%. Due to heavy rain, I couldn’t immediately go home, and I noticed the device was nearing low battery mode.
Recognizing this, I quickly played Genshin Impact for 23 minutes. This swiftly depleted the battery from 19% to 5%, a significant 14% consumption.
With only 5% remaining, I plugged in the charger to continue using the device. Throughout the day, from 8 am to 5:23 pm, the Galaxy Z Flip6 endured continuous usage and still had a fraction of battery left. In total, it operated for 10 hours and 23 minutes, which closely matches the results from the PC Mark app that I previously tested.
Overall, I find this battery performance quite satisfactory, especially considering the phone’s foldable screen and its relatively modest 4,000 mAh battery capacity. If used for normal tasks like calls, texts, and browsing without intensive camera use like mine, it could certainly last even longer.

Final line
Despite its modest 4,000 mAh battery capacity, it delivers exceptionally good usage. The device provides continuous on-screen time of over 10 hours. This performance is impressive for a compact device like the Z Flip6. Under normal usage conditions, not as continuous as in our Galaxy Z Flip6 battery review test, the device can last even longer.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 stands out as a foldable device with excellent battery life. This year’s Flip series seems to have won over users. It delivers everything they need: a stylish design, robust performance, sharp camera capabilities, and reliable long-term battery performance.
