Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 35mm F2 Aspherical Lens for Nikon Z

Cosina has unveiled the Voigtlander Apo-Lanthar 35mm F2 Aspherical full-frame Nikon Z mount lens, designed and manufactured under license from Nikon. Previously, this lens was released for Sony E and Leica M.

The new Nikon Z lens designation is given to especially high-performance lenses in the Voigtlander lens lineup, with the APO designation representing the apochromatic optical design. The need for apochromatic optical designs that reduce the longitudinal chromatic aberrations of the three primary colors (RGB) of light to practically zero arose with the increasing popularity of the color film.

The Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 35mm F2 lens constructed with 9 groups of 11 elements has five abnormal partial dispersion glasses, two out of eight elements, each with two aspherical surfaces, and a floating focus system built in.

The lens boasts a performance that will drastically change your image with its ability to produce images, from a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m to long distances without aberrations. It uses the same optical system as the popular Sony E-mount and VM-mount lenses.

This Nikon Z lens is equipped with electronic contacts and realizes data communications between the lens and the body. It is the perfect combination of the ultimate optical performance and compactness, with an overall length of 70.4mm and a weight of 360g for easy portability.
