The Vazen has announced a new 50mm T2.1 1.8X FF full-frame anamorphic lens. This lens is available with both Canon EF and PL-mounts.
This 50mm T2.1 1.8x anamorphic lens is reportedly super compact and lightweight. It weighs 1.55kg and is 13.3cm long. The manufacturer claims that their Canon 50mm lens is the smallest 1.8x anamorphic lens for full-frame cameras currently available.
The new Vazen Anamorphic art lens has a close focusing distance of 1.1m, the front lens diameter is 95mm and the front filter thread is 86mm.
Price and availability
The new Vazen 50mm T2.1 1.8x lens is far from the budget option of an anamorphic lens, it costs $8,000 and can be pre-ordered through the Bhphotovideo.com, but it is significantly cheaper than competing anamorphic optics, according to the manufacturer.
