Meyer Optik Gorlitz has announced the third lens in its Trioplan series and the sixth overall. The Trioplan 35mm f2.8 II is available with 11 camera mounts, including Nikon Z and Canon RF, and is renowned for its wide-angle soap bubble bokeh.

While the company has released details such as a 64° field of view and 12 aperture blades, it hasn’t provided details on either the number of elements in the optics or their placement. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 meters, a filter diameter of 52mm, and an aperture range of f/2.8 to f/22.
The Trioplan 35mm f2.8 II is assembled by hand. The lens elements are specially coated and manufactured by Meyer Optik in their own factory in Germany, while all mechanical components are sourced from German manufacturers.
The lens weighs between 270 and 300 grams depending on the mount. The body of the optics is made of black anodized aluminum. The lens is available with 11 mounts for Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, Leica L, Fuji X, Micro Four Thirds, Pentax K, Nikon Z, M42, Leica M, and Canon RF cameras.
