Synco WAir-G1-A2 Wireless Microphone System Introduced

The Synco, which produces various audio recording accessories, makes its first appearance in our news feed. And they appear with an interesting Synco WAir-G1-A2 wireless microphone system. The system consists of two transmitters and one receiver has a compact size, a range of 50 m, and built-in microphones, as well as the ability to connect external microphones using a 3.5 mm jack.

The dimensions of each device are truly compact – 52 x 42 x 16 mm, and the weight is only 35 g. Like its main competitor, the Rode Wireless GO, Synco WAir-G1-A2 operates at 2.4 GHz, and in line of sight conditions, the range will be 50 m. Both the receiver and transmitters are powered by a built-in battery, they can work up to 5 hours, charging via USB Type-C takes about 90 minutes.

Each transmitter is equipped with a built-in microphone, so you can immediately attach the transmitter to your clothes, although if you wish, you can also connect any microphones using a 3.5 mm jack. The receiver mounts on the camera’s cold shoe, or you can attach it anywhere with a clip.

The controls are quite austere: on the right side of each transmitter, there is a button for turning on the low-pass filter, a button for pairing with a receiver, and a reset switch. The receiver also has a reset switch and two separate buttons that enable + 10dB gain on the transmitter. Also, the receiver has a 3.5 mm output, with which you can send a signal to the input of the camera, to a mixing console, or an audio interface. As it should be for such devices, the receiver is equipped with a headphone output, so that the operator can monitor the incoming signal.

The receiver allows you to switch the mono/stereo mode. A very useful thing, since during stereo recording you can record from one microphone to the right channel, from another to the left, which, again, is very useful in practice when recording interviews, especially if the presenter does not speak very loudly, but the guest prefers to speak so that you can hear it without a microphone. Both the receiver and the transmitters have displays that show the current pairing status and battery power.
