Seagate launches FireCuda 530 SSD features EK Heatsink

EK, a specialist in liquid cooling systems and components for them, together with Seagate, which manufactures HDD and SSD, introduced the FireCuda 530 SSD Heatsink.

Seagate FireCuda 530 SSD Heatsink

Seagate FireCuda 530 is equipped with an EK radiator. The anodized aluminum heatsink with a finely textured surface to improve heat transfer is said to allow the FireCuda 530 to “run at top speed for extended periods.” The drive uses an E18 controller and 3D TLC NAND memory. This combination allows you to achieve data transfer rates up to 7300 MB/s.

It is ideal for high-bandwidth video rendering, previewing, and as a Photoshop scratch disk for large files. It also works amazing for gaming, providing fast load times and great access times. FireCuda 530 has DDR4 memory for caching, but it also uses an SLC dynamic cache alongside a technology called SmartFlush to recover the SLC cache space quickly and making sure it never fills up its buffer.

EK has designed a low-profile heatsink that is built from high-grade aluminum with a finely textured anodized finish to maximize its cooling efficiency. This built-in heatsink helps reduce thermal throttling while allowing peak performance for extended periods of time.

It works perfectly with PlayStation 5 consoles. It meets PS5 specs on performance and dimensions thanks to the low-profile heatsink. This built-in heatsink gives it an edge over the competing drives without a heatsink, but it also does not sacrifice any compatibility thanks to the low-profile design.

Seagate FireCuda 530 SSD Heatsink price and availability

The FireCuda 530 SSD Heatsink is compatible with PCs and PlayStation 5 consoles. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $969.99 for the Seagate Firecuda 530 4TB model, $459.99 for 2TB, $259.99 for 1TB, and $149.99 for the 500GB storage variant. It will be available to buy from the Bhphotovideo.com and Bestbuy.com websites.

Recently, MSI has also announced the launch of its Spatium series of SSD drive for PC. The lineup includes the M480, M470, and M370 models. All of them are made in the M.2 2280 SSD form factor, so they are equally well suited for installation on desktops and laptops, and pricing starts from $149.99.
